I will leave the more detailed individual critiques to the breed judges on the day all three who are breed specialists , which made my job easier as all were worthy representatives of their respective breeds and it all came down to performance at the end of the day.

BIS - Crocker, Frost, Paget & Carroll. Riverbrue Juniper Berry Mini Smooth. A smart well made shaded red bitch, particularly liked her head, eye and expression, overall make and shape, moving out here with verve and purpose, I believe winning her first CC here today, with her next two CC’s following on quickly including the CC & B.O.B at Crufts and giving her her well-deserved title.

RBIS - Wallace's Ch Ralines Just Jiles  Mini Long Haired. A shaded cream dog shown in good coat and order, he seemed slightly unsettled at first but after a couple of times around the ring he settled into his sound movement covering his ground well, pleased to award him the runner up spot.

BPIS Kent's Lokmadi Charles Rex  Mini Smooth. Shaded red with a super make and shape to him, he possesses a houndy head with the correct expression, moving out well here for one so young.

Res BPIS Jones Bimini Moonlight - Mini Wire A lovely wild boar bitch of the type consistently produced by this kennel, she again has all the essentials and was shown in good coat and order just not as settled as the Mini Smooth today.

BVIS Mills Jones Ch Carlita Sunrise JW Mini Wire. A wild boar male shown in super coat he moved with some style and purpose today and I would go as far as to say this was probably the best I have seen him.

RBVIS Ergis's  Ch Siouxline Rapunzel with Melriding  Mini Smooth. A favourite of mine beautiful shaded red bitch, I gave her a CC from veteran a few years ago, she again has everything in the right place and is so well made, today she just didn’t go with the form I have seen her go with many times and was feeling the effects of a long wait and a cold day.

Steve Rose
