West of England Ladies KA 2002

Judge: Tess Thomas

Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired)

I was very pleased to be asked to judge this variety. Temperamnets were generally good. There are still forward shoulders with short upper arms, but the things that worried me most was the exaggerated width behind of some exhibits when moving away from me. I appreciate that one doesn’t want a dog to be narrow behind, but I feel that this exaggeration wants watching. However there is much quality in depth especially in the bitches.
