Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired)

PD (1) 1 Marka Novaj’s Shembys Limited Edition. 7 month old chocolate. Nice head and expression, good front construction and well angulated hindquarters. Moved well keeping a level topline, would just have preferred more drive. Best Dog Puppy.

OD (3) 1 Sharkey’s Nordach Oberon at Hyshope. Well constructed red dog with nice length of neck and long, well sprung ribs. Good angulation fore and aft and sound movement. Best Dog. 2 Orton’s Scalamor Willow the Wisp. Nice black and tan boy. Prominent chest, good ribbing and nicely angulated. Moved well. Preferred head to the winner, but just slightly narrower in front. Res Best Dog.

PB (4) 1 Roberts’ Denver Darling Rose of May. 6 month old compact b/t girl of smaller type. Good front construction with tight elbows, deep well sprung ribbing and strong quarters. Moved well once she settled. 2 Crawley’s Donnadoon Elouise at Doujac. 11 month old b/t. Nicely constructed girl with a lovely head, good reach of neck and long ribbing. Such a pity she didn’t want to cooperate with her handler on the day. 3 Ergis’ Siouxline Katalina.

PGB (4) 1 Plant’s Shardagang Tiramisu at Merehill. Mature b/t. Excellent head, good length of neck, prominent forechest and deep, well sprung ribbing. Strong, well angulated hindquarters, moved well. Res Best Bitch. 2 Ergis’ Bronia Stunning Sophia for Siouxline. 10 month old red girl. Very elegant and similar in type to my Best of Breed. Beautiful head, well angulated shoulders and long ribbing. Moved with good drive and extensions. Liked her a lot but just feel she needs to body up a little more to complete the picture. Best Bitch Puppy and Best Puppy in Breed. 3 Lewis’ Bardachs Santana.

OB (5) 1 Lewis’ Shardagang Santa Lucia of Bardachs. My notes say stunning! Beautifully proportioned quality b/t. Lovely head and good reach of neck, long ribbing and well angulated fore and aft. Moved well keeping a level topline, beautifully presented and handled. Later learn she needs one more ticket, I’m sure that wont be long in coming. Best Bitch and Best of Breed. 2 Young’s Willowheath Wanda. Smaller type b/t, not long out of puppy. Well constructed all through with a good front, long ribbing and strong hindquarters. Very nice bitch who just needs to mature a little.
