I can honestly say I really enjoyed judging this variety of dachshunds, I feel that the mini smooth breeders and exhibitors are currently producing both in quality and type, some exciting exhibits for the future long may it continue!! I was well pleased with my entry of 57 making 65 entries.

MPD
(1) 1 Holland's Arosa in Style. r ed of merit, correct in head and eye, good neck and clean shoulders, very good angles in the rear which he used to good advantage. He needs time to fill his frame with normal maturity this will be to his advantage, promising pup though.

PD
(2) 1 Mitchel Bronia Lanfranco. t op draw youngster, excellent conical shaped head with a good eye super neck and shoulders, well filled fore chest, very good ribbing with a level top line and good underline. He has a very well angulated rear with short parallel hocks, sound on the move with positive rear drive and forward reach I was however mind full of his tender age in the line up for the cc but it was his overall attitude for the game that won me over, pleased to award him the cc today assured of a bright future. 2 Macdonald Bensarka the Midas Touch. v ery similar in type to the winner and will do well, correct in most departments, kept a good outline on the go around however just preferred the bone of Lanfranco. 3 Reeve Zaroso Red Rum.

JD
(4) 1 Ergis Siouxline Isacc j.w . q uality exhibit, stunning head of the correct shape and a lovely eye, good neck and shoulders, well filled fore chest, very well ribbed, he stands on good bone with well padded feet, as usual powered around the ring with excellent rear drive and forward reach. Presented in top class condition, would prefer a little more length overall but all his other qualities out weigh this. Won a well deserved Res CC. 2 Melbourne Melriding de Lafatette. a nother good exhibit, well balanced in head, good neck and a well placed shoulder, a well balanced body with good ribs correct bone and feet kept a good outline on the go around close up to the winner. 3 Shelton Barisse High Velocity.

YD
(1) 1 Hartley Minimeaed Malachi at Lyrosh. f air for type throughout would prefer a bit more neck to balance him up, moved out well and presented in good order.

PGD (3) 1 Ergis Siouxline Indigo. l itter brother to Issac, he too is so well made, excellent forehand and fore chest, well ribbed with tight fitting elbows again moved with positive rear drive and forward reach. Presented in excellent coat and condition and so well schooled, not fazed at all by the wind conditions! 2 Minimead Malachi at Lyrosh. 3 Holland's Zarosa Motivation.

LD
(1) 1 Shelton Donnadoon Imagination at Barrise j.w. a quality exhibit with plenty to like about him, correct in head and eye and expression, a well developed fore chest very good ribbing, stands on good bone and well padded feet. Moved out with a positive attitude keeping his outline at all times, pushed hard for top awards today should get there with normal luck!!

OD
(4) 1 Ergis Siouxline Thomas j.w . y et another quality exhibit from this clever breeder. This chap has a lovely head piece which is so well balanced, good eye and expression correct in neck and shoulder, level top line and well developed quarters. He has good bone and neat feet, claimed this class on his super movement showing good rear drive and forward reach, as usual presented in excellent order and so well schooled. 2 Herrington Kathington Chance n Counter. r ed of merit, fair in head qualities good neck and shoulder, stands on good bone with well padded feet his ribs are ok. He has a good top line and tail set but did appear to be affected by the windy conditions so was not putting all in. 3 Melbourne Melriding Post Hac Meliora.

MPB
(3) 1 King Kingsdax Lia Lucky Ebony. a fair puppy with lots to like about, correct in head and eye with a lovely expression, neck ok, well ribbed with a good top line and tail set. She has good bone with well padded feet, she coped well with conditions and put her best foot forward to take this class. 2 Walker, Brianolf Mystical Gem. v ery raw at the moment but does have the desired make and shape to develop into a good prospect for the future, moved out ok. 3 Reeve Zarosa Red Velvet.

PB
(3) 1 Coxon d'Arisca Striped Tease. I think there's a clue in the name of this exhibit that would indicate as to what colour she is, I personally have no hang ups as to whether she has two stripes or twenty two stripes what's more important to me is that she, in my opinion on the day, filled my eye for breed type construction and sheer quality. On inspection her head is to die for, excellent eye and expression well filled fore chest, very good shoulders, well ribbed which are well let down and carried back, her top line and underline was spot on, super rear angles with strong parallel hocks. On the move she showed bags of style, so true going away with forward reach keeping her outline on the go around and holding herself in such style. She is forward for her age and in the line up for the bitch challenge I just could not look her over, she won the cc over her stable mate and later on b.o.b I wish her the very best for the future. 2 Hardy Bensarka Kiss Me Kate at Kushwin. q uality girl with lots to like about her, correct in head and eye, well bodied, good bone and feet, moved soundly on the out and back and was presented in good order unlucky to run into the winner today should do well. 3 Mitchell Bronia Lucilla.

JB
(9) A good class. 1 Blackburn-Bennett, Shardagang Illusion. q uality exhibit all through, excellent head with correct eye and expression, very good length of neck which flowed into a clean well laid shoulder, she has good length in body with good ribs which are carried well back. She stands on good bone and neat feet, covered the ground with free easy strides keeping her outline at all times today, I thought she would have benefited for carrying more body weight, then would have been in contention for a higher award!! 2 Callow Garthorne Lady Louisa. v ery similar to the winner and has plenty to like about her. Feminine head, good eye and overall balance, she is well constructed both in front and rear angles and moved soundly, again a little more body weight would complete the picture. 3 Lombardelli dfrom Dawn till Dusk.

YB
(5) The most difficult class of the day with such varying degrees in type. 1 Shelton Barrise Spellbinder. w on on her overall balance, her head is ok, good eye and expression, correct in neck, very good body which is well ribbed, moved ok on the out and back and kept a good top line on the go around. 2 Herrington Kathinton Ebony Star. f air exhibit all through, well bodied with good ribs has a good neck which lead to a correct shoulder, her bone is good with well padded feet, she moved ok but not so relaxed on the stack perhaps the windy conditions got to her? 3 Forrest Bute Fashionably Late.

PGB
(7) 1 Hartley Lyrosh Ebony Lady. h as plenty to like about her, correct in head and expression with a good eye, plenty of neck and a well filled fore chest with good ribbing which was carried well back. Won this class on her easy free flowing movement. 2 Goodacre Minimead Misty Girl. b alanced exhibit with a good eye and expression, carrying just the right weight with a well filled fore chest, correct in ribs moved out well keeping a level top line at all times. 3 Herrington Kathington Ebony Star.

LB
(8) A good class. 1 Barber, Simply Red Ruby of Rivergate. c orrect in all aspects, well shaped conical head with a dark eye, very good in front with a well filled fore chest, excellent ribs which are carried well back, good top line and tail set. One of the few with a good underline, moved out with attitude and style. 2 Callow Garthorne Gazania. a nother exhibit that has all the right credentials, super in head good eye and expression, body well developed, showed good front extension but not so free behind as the winner. 3 Lewis, Merehill Kinky Boots at Bardachs.

OB
(8) Quality class that had made me make a tough call. 1 Coxon, d'Arisca Golden Delicious. s uper quality girl, correct conical shaped head, lovely eye and expression, excellent neck and fore chest, very good ribs which are well let down and carried well back, solid top line, stands on good bone with lovely bone and feet, has a well angulated rear accompanied with short parallel hocks, she put her best foot forward with good rear drive which was gun barrel true. On the go around she kept her outline at all times, today had to settle for the RCC only to her stable mate who I thought was giving just that little extra, but what a lovely situation to be in with two stunning bitches to campaign! 2 Hunt, Ch/Can/Am Ch/ Grandgables Ms Supernatural at Carpaccio. I am well aware of this exhibit's record since arriving in this country, in fact I gave her a res best in show at a club show earlier in the year, and she deserves all the acclaim that has been written about her! Her head, eye, neck and fore chest are superb, her body and outline are to die for, her handler gets the very best from her, and she is such a show girl! However, I just wished that she was more positive in her rear movement, i.e. more parallel, it's only an 'if' I'm sure she will continue to scale the heights. 3 Melbourne, Melriding Slack Alice. q uality again, completing a trio of good bitches.
