Dachshunds (Miniature Smooth Haired): BEST OF BREED:
Callow's Garthorne Little Eva. Dog CC: Ergis Siouxline Flynn Rider. Res Dog
CC: Melbourne's Ch. Metadale Nikolai of Melriding. Bitch CC: Callow's
Garthorne Little Eva. Res Bitch CC: Blackburn's Ch. Sonderbar Billie Jean at
Stargang. Best Puppy: Ergis Siouxline Flynn Rider. I would like to thank you
so much for such a super entry, I had so many quality exhibits that many
worthy of being placed had to go cardless. I was pleased to see that my dog
CC winner was sired by a dog I awarded the CC to last time I judged and also
my bitch CC winner's dam, I awarded the Res. CC last time. VD/B (4,1) 1
Reed's Deercroft Devotion. Very sound red bitch with good front and depth of
keel, nice reach of neck running into well laid back shoulders, moved well
keeping a level topline. Still in excellent condition. I judged her earlier
this year and awarded her BVIS and was pleased to see her go on to do the
same today. 2 Rouse's Dvordac Kiss the Future. Shaded red bitch in super
condition, nice head, very attractive expression with dark eye, lovely front
and depth, just preferred the hindquarters and more positive movement of the
winner. 3 Yeoman's Klynerbyner Vim and Vigour. MPD (8,1) 1 Roberts Denver
Darling Doctor Who. Very dark shaded red just six months but very mature for
his age, certainly a future star, lovely head, super lay back of shoulder,
well proportioned throughout and good well angulated hindquarters, moved
well. 2 Kent's Lokmadi A Boy Named Sue. A larger type b/t with elegance,
nice head and reachy neck running into well laid back shoulders and good
strong well angulated hindquarters. 3 Dunhill's Santorna Walk The Line At
Gellijam. PD (7,1) 1 Ergis Siouxline Flynn Rider. My find of the day, oh
what a little stunner. Lovely clear red with dark eye and pigment, good
head, neck and front, well laid back shoulders, excellent ribbing, strong
well angulated hindquarters which he used to good effect moving with drive
and extension. So very pleased to award him the CC and also Best Puppy. 2
Melbourne & Holdsworth's Melriding Perkin Warbeck. A lovely red, unlucky to
meet Flynn, super bone, feet and overall construction just not as mature as
the winner. 3 Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Crazy Waves. JD (7) 1 Protheroe's
Grandgables Crafty Lil Devil at Royalmaple. Red of a more elegant type,
nicely made throughout, correct front, good head and eye, good shoulders and
length of ribbing. He moved soundly covering the ground with ease and
keeping a good outline at all times. 2 Hunt's Mylforbe Matchmaker at
Carpaccio. Compact, heavier boned b/t with nice overall construction,
preferred the head and eye of winner. 3 Paget & Carroll's Bronia Valente of
Marvale. ND (2) 1 Lokmadi A Boy Named Sue - 2nd in minor puppy. 2 Care's
Debbiejay Izzy Whizzy by Swingletrees. Red, unplaced in junior but well
handled by his very young handler. Well done. PGD (7,1) Close decision
between 1 & 2. 1 Eddery & Wolsey's Donnadoon Jolly Roger at Glyndwr. A very
pleasing red well constructed, excellent shape, good bone, lovely front and
forechest, nice well angulated hindquarters. 2 Melbourne's D'Arisca Flaunt
It at Melriding. Very similar in type to the winner and very little to
choose between them. Compact body, good head and reach of neck, well
angulated hindquarters, super bone and he moved well. 3 Thompson's Siouxline
Nathanael at Oraysha. LD (4) 1 Smith & Connor's Bronia Gregoria. Eye
catching b/t with great ring presence, stood out in this class, lovely head
and eye shape, clean correct front, good layback of shoulders and ribbing,
moved like a train, showing off his lovely outline, very well handled. 2
Muggleton's Mosiato Mister Motivator. Black and tan of good size, good head
and super dark eye, lovely front and excellent hindquarters, good depth and
length of ribbing, moved well with drive. 3 Daykin's Barratini Jonny Cash.
OD (6,2a) 1 Melbourne Ch. Metadale Nikolai of Melriding. Beautifully
constucted with correct shoulders, ribbing, strong topline and well
angulated hindquarters which he used well on the move. Res. CC. 2 Roberts
Ch. Denver Darling Harry Potter. Attractive b/t with excellent shoulders and
hindquarters, good barrelled ribbing, a bit lower to ground than 1. in
lovely condition, moved well but wasn't quite as positive in hind action as
the winner. 3 Andison & Peel's Clentry Black Pudding. MPB (13,3a) 1 Reed's
Deercroft Summer Serenade. Very eye catching 7 month old red with lovely
flowing lines, quality all through and excellent outline kept at all times.
2 Mitchell's Denver Darling Senorita at Bronia. Litter sister to Minor Puppy
dog winner Very nice youngster with compact body, good head and reach of
neck, well angulated hindquarters, super bone, moved well. 3 Blackburn's
Stargang Tattoo. PB (11,2a) 1 Ergis & Melbourne's Siouxline Rapunzel with
Melriding. Litter sister to my dog CC winner and very similar but not as
forward as him. Another future star when fully matured.2 Oakley & Pearson's
Ardenrun Fridays Child. Red similar in type to winner, a little apprehensive
at first but soon settled. Nice shape bitch, excellent bone and super feet,
moved soundly, handler could get more out of her. 3 Scott's Wolferlow Mary
Quant. JB (10,1a) 1 Kent's Lokmadi Goodnight Irene. Compact b/t of nice
type, pleasing front, length and depth of ribbing, well angulated
hindquarters, moved soundly. 2 Salisbury's Brocklewood Black Rose. Slightly
taller b/t, lovely head and eye shape with a very pleasing expression.
Nicely angulated both ends, moved well keeping topline. 3 Paget & Carroll's
Bronia Vittoria of Marvale. N (9,2a) 1 Reed's Deercroft Summer Serenade. 1st
in minor puppy. 2 Stokes Webbers Swansong. B/T nicely constructed overall,
with good topline held on the move but not as free in movement. 3 Kent's
Lokmadi Scribble. PGB (19,2a) 1 Andison & Peel's Clentry Golddigga. Very eye
catching red who took my eye as soon as she entered the ring. Nice head and
reachy neck running into very good shoulders. Good moving up and back and
stepped out freely in profile. 2 Blackburn's Stargand Desert Vixen. Red with
very feminine head with good dark almond eye, reachy neck and well placed
shoulders. Good topline at all times but not as free in movement of first. 3
Muggleton's Mosiarto Miss Understood. LB (20,6a) Excellent class of quality
throughout. 1 Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Serena's Song. Lovely red girl,
elegant and very well constructed with good flowing lines, she has quality
all through, super hindquarters which she used to power around the ring. I
liked her a lot. 2 Worswick's Dolyharp's Symphony. Compact neat little black
and tan in excellent condition, well-constructed with nice front and
forechest, excellent topline, moved well. 3 Salisbury's Brocklewood Calypso.
OB (13,2a) This was an excellent class with quality bitches right down the
line, any of them could easily have taken home a CC. 1 Callow's Garthorne
Little Eva. Red girl so lovely to go over, everything flows and oozes
quality. Well balanced bitch, with pleasing head and expression. Correct
shoulder placement, prominent forechest, good length and depth of ribbing,
level topline and well angulated quarters. Excellent ground covering action
very true both coming and going. Delighted to award her with her 2nd CC and
also BOB and very pleased to see her go on to win BIS. Congratulations hope
the third is not far off. 2 Blackburn's Ch. Sonderbar Billie Jean at
Stargang. Beautiful red who is a great favourite of mine and I was delighted
to have the chance to go over her. Little more can be said about this
famous lady and she is a credit to the breed. She is so well constructed
that she demands attention. Today she just slightly lost her topline in
profile when moving. R.CC. 3 Shelton's Barisse Arbennik Isoldes Endeavour. A
lovely compact little red with the best of feet, so unlucky to meet such
strong opposition but I am sure her day will come.
