Thank you to the exhibitors for their entry particularly in view of the fact that many had attended the two shows at Stafford on the previous day.  I did feel that in some cases this may have affected the performance of the exhibits who just lacked a little sparkle. Rear movement in this breed is not strong and must be of particular concern. This should be considered carefully within individual breeding plans for improvement in the future. 
PD (1) 1 Dunhill's Gellijams Aldanti. Mischievous bl/tan baby. Nice to see babies enjoying themselves. Lovely head and eye.  Good neck. Balanced shape and outline when stood with good topline. Very difficult to assess on the move as he was jumping rather than walking but he has time on his side and steadied as the day progressed. 
JD (2, 1) 1 Shutt's Donnadoon Waterloo Sunset. Elegant red dog with a lovely outline and shape.  Quality head, good eye and strong neck. Well angulated front and rear with balanced proportions throughout. Kept his topline standing and on the move.  Moved out well with drive. Still needs to firm and mature. 
PGD (2, 1) 1 Rudkin's Dynastydax Diamond Geezer. Masculine bl/tan dog with good neck running cleanly into the shoulder. Keeping his shape and topline well both standing and on the move. Moved true and steady. 
LD (5) 1 Melbourne & Holdsworth's Melriding Perkin Warbeck. Quality red dog of excellent type. Lovely outline. Good head and neck, well angulated front and rear, prominent forechest and strong topline. Nice feet, good bone and substance throughout. Moved with drive and extension. Still needs to settle and mature to be at his very best. Res CC. 2 Hunt's Carpaccio Casablanca JW ShCM. Nice bl/tan dog of more compact proportions than winner.  Good profile with clean flowing lines. Nice head and eye. Well rounded quarters. Moved steady and true just not the freedom and extension of winner today.
3 Protheroe's Royalmaple Anky Panky. 
OD (3) 1 Paget & Carroll's Bronia Valente Of Marvale. Very good bl/tan dog who is well constructed throughout. Good head and eye, strong neck, well laid shoulders, prominent forechest and good angulation front and rear. Well boned with good length of ribbing and strong topline which he held standing and moving. Nothing flashy or exaggerated but the soundest of dogs who used all his assets to move with purpose and  drive. Never put a foot wrong with a first class performance. CC and BOB. Was delighted to hear this was his well deserved third CC. 2 Smith & Connors' Ch Bronia Gregorio JW ShCM. Elegant bl/tan dog with a lovely head and eye. Good neck and well balanced proportions with a good outline and shape.  Has many of the virtues of the winner but not quite the width or substance.  Moved out well in profile but not  as positive as the first today. 3 Protheroe's Ch Grandgables Crafty Lil Devil At Royalmaple. 
VD (1) 1 Kent's Ch Barrantini Jeeves At Lokmadi JW.  Bl/tan dog with a nice balanced outline and shape which he keeps at all times both standing and moving. Well angulated front and rear and very good strong topline. Nice bone and ribbing. Moved  with stylish carriage. A credit to his owner. He obviously enjoys his showing putting on a sterling performance. 
PB (3, 1) 1 Ergis' Siouxline Esther Rose. Attractive red baby with a good shape and outline both standing and moving. Feminine head and outlook, good front and rear and strong topline. Moved well with style and confidence especially for a baby. BPIB. 2 West's Archidax Betty Boop. Red baby who was very much a baby compared to winner. More compact proportions. Moved well for a baby keeping a good topline. Preferred the head of the winner today. 
JB (8, 3) 1 Hunt's Carpaccio Blithe Spirit JW. Quality bl/t bitch of balanced proportions throughout. Pretty head with a feminine outlook. Well built front and rear.  Moved  well covering the ground  positively and maintaining her shape. 2 Allen's Royaldach's Truly Decadent. Bl/t bitch with many virtues. Lovely type with good shape and profile. Moved well with drive but would benefit from a little more confidence.  Preferred the head of the winner today. 3 Goodman's Springfern Hermione. 
PGB (9, 2) 1 Reed's Deercroft Deep Secret. Bl/t bitch with balanced front and rear. Good head and strong neck. Nice proportions and outline. Good bone and feet. Not always holding her shape today but moved out well to win the class. 2 Burke & Manston's Radclyffe Zathera. Red bitch with a lovely head and well constructed front with good prominent pro sternum. A little longer in the hock than winner. Moved  well with confidence but just appeared a little high at the rear today both standing and moving. 3 Bourne's Yaapeet Esme May. 
LB (13, 2) A very nice class with the most depth in quality of the day. The first three were quality bitches who I am sure would change places on a different day. 1 Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Star Anise. Lovely elegant bl/t bitch with lovely flowing lines throughout. Nice head and eye, good neck and strong topline. Well constructed front and rear and used all her assets as she moved with style and drive. 2 Melbourne & Holdsworth's Stargang Glimmer At Melriding. Not really surprised to discover that this bitch was the litter sister to the winner. Slightly more compact bitch but with all the same attributes. Just edged out by her sister today on presence and maturity. 3 Callow's Garthorne Miss Toffee. 
OB (6, 1) 1 Ergis & Melbourne's Siouxline Rapunzel With Melriding. Quality red bitch with good head and neck. Well constructed throughout and a very nice bitch to handle. Well angulated front and rear, prominent forechest, good length of ribbing and short strong loin gave her a lovely elegant profile that she held at all times. Moved well covering the ground with drive and ease. CC. 2 Paget & Carroll's Ch Bronia Vittoria Of Marvale. Another quality red bitch of good type and outline. Nice head, good neck, well constructed front and rear and an excellent topline at all times. Moved positive and true at all times but just not the extension or sparkle of the winner today. Res CC. 3 Melbourne & Holdsworth's Stargang Sea Fever At Melriding. 
VB (1) 1 Hughes' Minimead Maid To Love For Julidachs. Balanced bl/tan bitch who was shown in lovely condition. Good clean outline with strong topline. Feminine head and outlook.  Moved steady and true keeping her shape at all times.
