Huge thank you to the Lancs and Cheshire Committee for the invitation to award my first set of CCs in my Hound Breed. I thoroughly enjoyed my day with the Mini Smooths and was very pleased with my overall winners for quality, type and soundness. Thanks to all the exhibitors for a pleasing entry. Miniature Smooth-Haired MPD (6,1) 1 Hanney-Mitchell Bronia Daimmen. A very promising puppy who is well-constructed and balanced all through. Good head, well balanced with correct eye shape. Lengthy neck leading to correct oval front, length of ribbing and correct angulation. Sound on the move both coming and going maintaining a well-balanced outline and good topline. BPD. 2 Mason Teckeltown The Showman. Not as mature as 1, only 6-month-old. Beautiful head being the correct shape and balanced with correct eye. Lengthy neck into clean shoulders, could have a little more upper arm. Good ribbing carried well back. Balanced hindquarters. Topline needs to tighten but this will come with age. Moved with purpose, well handled. 3 Magri Ardenrun Pinot Rouge Rozamie. PD (6,1) 1 Corominas Scenterbay Rafael for Ruichango. Mature and very well-balanced dog with everything in the right place. Lovely head and eye. Good neck into well filled front and good angulation both in front and behind. Good ribbing carried well back. Tight bunchy feet. Moved soundly holding his topline well. In good condition. 2 Paget and Carroll Shantallah Simply Red. Not as mature as 1. Needs to fill out. Balanced head of good proportions, almond eye. Good neck into well laid shoulder and good return of upper arm. Good length of ribbing. Held a lovely topline and overall outline and was very sound on the move. Feet could be tighter. 3 Mason Teckeltown Lord Of The Rings. JD (4,0) 1 O’Connell Rijobeau Rumours with Llennocor. Correct head shape. Lengthy neck into good shoulder, could have more length of upper arm. Oval front with well-developed fore chest. Enough ground clearance and ribs carried well back. Well angulated behind. Moved soundly holding a good outline. 2 Kelcardi Planet Mars. Big enough. Lovely lengthy head, good neck, well made and balanced in angles. Topline roached a little. Sound on the move with good side gait. 3 Spencer Lokmadi Sandstone at Bannonbrig. YD (1,0) 1 Strange Bronia’s Armand at Cazdachs. Ok head of good length. Eyes could be a better shape. Ok neck into well laid shoulder but could have more upper arm. Balanced hindquarters with his front and short from hock to heel. Good ribbing carried well back with correct top and underline. Good overall proportions and size. Tight feet. Moved ok and held his topline well. ND (2,1) 1 Horridge and Talbot Winlaton Valentino. Lengthy head, almond shaped eye. Lengthy neck, ok in shoulder but would prefer a little more length in upper arm and could be tighter in elbow. Oval front with crook in foreleg. Ribbing carried well back with good topline. Parallel hindquarters. Moved ok and held outline well. Big enough. PGD (5,2) 1 Downie Marvale Kingfisher. Good overall outline. Lengthy head of good shape. Almond eye. Balanced angulation. Elbows could be tighter. Oval front, good ribbing carried well back with well held topline. Good bone and bunchy feet. Used himself well on the move holding his outline. Big enough. Needs more confidence. 2 Magri Rozamie Red Corvette. Well-proportioned head and good reach of neck. Just enough in shoulder and upper arm. Good overall shape with correct ribbing. Well held top and underline. Feet could be tighter, moved well. 3 Woods Bronia Palladio LD (4,0) 1 Wilson Shantallah Secret Shadow at Linburndax. Pleasing in overall shape and outline. Good head and eye. Well made with nothing overdone. Just enough forechest. Neck of good length into well laid-back shoulders and good upper arm. Well angulated rear. Moved with drive but was a little narrow in front coming towards. In good condition. 2 Jennings Marvale Northern Cardinal at Jenivon. Ok head, good neck into well-made front which was oval from the front and well filled. Good ribbing carried well back, was a touch to long and low. Strong rear. Would prefer tighter feet. Moved well. 3 Woods Bronia Gaspare OD (5,0) A good class. 1 Melbourne, Paget and Carroll Melriding Black Tom. A nice size and with the shape and body proportions I was looking for. Houndy head of good length and proportions. Good length of neck into very good shoulder and upper arm. Prounouced pro sternum, oval front and good bone and bunchy feet. Very good top and underline with ribs carried well back, to well set tail. Well angulated behind. Moved absolutely true up and back, with reach and drive holding his outline. In lovely condition. Pleased to award him DCC. 2 Mason Teckeltown Surspicious Mind. Another lovely dog who was close up to 1. Beautiful conical head shape, almond eye. Good length of neck into well laid shoulder and upper arm of equal length. Correct ground clearance with good top and underline. Ribs carried well back to short loin. Well angulated behind. Precise on the up and back and had reach and drive in profile holding his outline really well. Well-handled and in great condition. A champion in the making for sure. RDCC. 3 Coxon D’Arisca Dinner at Eight CD (1,0) 1 Paget and Carroll Ch Marvale Firecrest. Worthy champion. Good overall outline and proportions. Typical in head, good neck and full in front with good pro sternum and length of keel. Ribs carried well back to short loin and a back end that balanced well with his front. Good top and underline. Moved soundly and held his shape. In good condition. VD (1,0) 1 Jennings Duddondaxs Judge Jude for Jenivon. Well balanced with good overall proportions. Good head and almond eye shape. Balanced angles in front and rear, with oval front, good bone and tight feet. Held together with ribbing carried well back to short loin. Good topline held well on move. Used himself well. SB (2,1) 1 Horridge and Talbot Winlaton Valentino. Seen in novice. MPB (4,1) 1 Beach Beachdax Girl of My Dreams. What a great start to the bitches with this lovely puppy who must have a bright future. Loved her head and eye shape. Good neck into very good construction in front, with good shoulders, return of upper arm, good pro sternum and length of keel. Ribs carried well back to short loin and well-made hindquarters. She was true up and back and used herself well in profile. Handled well and in good condition.2 Ruletadax Ebonita. Not as together as 1 and needs more time as only a baby. Lovely head and correct almond eye. Good length of neck into well-made front with balanced hindquarters. Ok for ribbing. Needs to tighten in her topline. Not got it together on the move as yet so hard to assess properly. 3 Withheld PB (3,0) 1 Melbourne, Paget and Carroll Melriding Silver Spangle. Gorgeous puppy who has a lot of what i was looking for. Lengthy, well-proportioned head with good eye. Correct neck into full front with good angulation, good bone and bunchy feet. Ribbing carried well back to short loin, with good body proportions and overall shape. Correct angles behind and totally balanced. Moved with reach and drive holding a lovely top and underline and was very sound. Pleased to award her BPB and BPIB. She later went on to RBPIS. Well done. 2 Hanney-Mitchell Bronia Blayze. Another top-class puppy who had everything in the right place. Good head, length of neck and construction with a pleasing overall shape and correct body proportions. Good ribbing with correct top and underline. Moved out soundly and used herself well. 3 Gleave Ryneco Krystal Maze JB (8,1) 1 Crocker and Frost Riverbrue Juniper Berry. This bitch really took my eye today. I found her houndy and well made, with excellent overall shape and soundness. Typical in head with correct almond eye shape. Length to neck and full in front with legs well under her. Tight feet and good bone. Ribbing carried well back to a short loin with well held topline. Good behind and held herself really well on the move where she covered the ground easily. Well-handled to get the best out of her. Pleased to award her the RBCC and will follow her career with interest. 2 Herald Winterfield Lady In Red. Still only a baby and needs time to fill out and tighten. Good length to head, correct eye. Good reach of neck and ok in shoulder, could have a little more upper arm. Good ribbing and enough ground clearance. Well angled behind. Moved soundly. 3 Kirkwood-Emery Marvale Rosefinch at Helydon YB (2,0) 1 Melbourne, Paget and Carroll Melriding Sisi. Good overall outline of balance and correct proportions. Good head, length to neck, well made both in front and behind. Oval looking from the front and with enough pro sternum. Good ribbing carried well back. Correct bone for size and bunchy feet. Moved true and held herself well. 2 Herald Winterfield Lucky Star. Good head and a nice overall outline but could lose a little bit of weight to improve the overall picture. Balanced angles but could have a little more to drop into herself better. Ribs carried well back with short loin and good topline. Good bone and feet. Moved soundly. NB (6,2) 1 Jennings Jenivon’s Jenny Wren. Well balanced and well made with everything in the right place. Head of good proportions, lovely front with good bone and tight feet. Good ribbing carried well back to strong rear quarters. Correct ground clearance and body proportions. Moved out well holding a good topline. 2 Paget and Carroll Marvale Golden Plover. Typey head and eye. Good neck into well filled front with good shoulders and upper arm. Well ribbed with short loin and well held topline. Needs to strengthen behind a little. Moved ok, well handled. 3 Woods Ruletadax Aguila PGB (7,3) 1 Mason Teckeltown The Showgirl. Balanced and well made with good overall shape and proportions. Good head and eye. Enough front with ribbing carried well back. Correct bone for size with tight feet. Moved soundly with purpose holding a good outline. Well handled. 2 Hutchings and Price Collidach Splish Splash. Ok in head with good neck and totally balanced in angulation. Well filled in front with good pro sternum and length of keel. Good bone and feet. Strong rear quarters. Moved soundly and used herself well. 3 Woods Mylforbe Passion Fleur LB (9,4) Was close between these first two who were different but each had lots to like. 1 Mason Marvale Crimson Sunbird at Teckeltown. Beautiful typey conical head shape with almond shaped eye. Ok in neck, well made in front with very good pro sternum, fill and length of keel. Ribs carried well back to short loin and well angulated rear quarters. Sound and stylish on the move, In good condition and well handled. 2 Hunt Mylforbe Red Velvet at Sunara. Balanced head and correct eye. Good length of neck and well made in front and behind with excellent ribbing and body proportions holding her together. Good bone and bunchy feet. Moved soundly holding her topline. On the final run off I thought 1 had a bit more about her which gave her the edge but could change places on another day. 3 Jennings Jenivons Miss Marple OB (6,1) 1 Coxon D’Arisca Little Black Dress. Feminine well-balanced head. Lengthy neck and totally balanced in angulation both in front and behind. Everything where it should be without being overdone and very good overall proportions. Good bone and feet, very good size overall and was sound and used herself well on the move holding a good topline. 2 Beach Beachdax Sweet Melody. Lovely head and eye. Another who was well made and balanced with correct proportions. Enough ground clearance and very good ribbing and topline. Moved and showed well with soundness. Well handled. JW 3 Magri, O’Connell’s Lokmadi With A Dragon Tattoo CB (1,0) 1 Paget and Carroll Ch Marvale Sandpiper. As soon as I saw this bitch on the table i knew if she moved well, she was going to be hard to beat. For me she is the complete package, her beautiful head and eye, correct neck into textbook front and balanced rear quarters. Excellent ribbing with correct ground clearance. Good bone and tight feet. A lovely size with ideal outline and overall proportions. Then she moves and its easy for her with reach and drive and holding the best of outlines and solid topline. In excellent condition and well handled. Lots of quality and one of those that is just a pleasure to judge. BCC and BOB. VB (2,1) 1 Hutchings Stargang Hot Cross Bun for Collidach. Great to see her looking so well. Beautiful head and eye, good neck into well made front, ribs carried well back to short loin and well-turned quarters. Moved soundly and used herself well, still holding a lovely outline. Pleased to award her BV.
