MINIATURE LONG HAIRED  (BITCHES)

I thank the Scottish Dachshund club for giving me the honour to judge their centenary show, I would also like to thank the exhibitors for the large entry that awaited me and for the sporting way my placings were taken. Since I last judged this variety I found that they tended to be very short in upper arm and invariably lacked any length of ribbing we also need to remember that they are hounds and should be able cover the ground with ease I found 3 bad mouths which surprised me, heads have improved and temperaments were in general excellent I also think that size has improved with not nearly so many skinny ones being shown. My main winners pleased me very much.

MP .(7) 1. Turners Dacatec Dream On Baby To Rafthouse. This 8 month old baby stole my heart as soon as she entered the ring I just knew she was my type, lovely head and eye excellent front and ribbing good quarters and her movement is very true I was delighted to award her the res.cc it was a long day for one so young so therefore by the time B.P.I.S. was judged she was starting to show her tender age but one I feel sure is destined for top honours in the future I shall watch her career with intrest. 2.Blackshaws Minard Shes A Peach At Ravenways. Another quality young lady who has all the essentials just lacks in maturity but this is by no way a criticism as she will eventually come into her own. 3.Scotts Jadag Kadbry Rose At Maydays.

This was the first of 2 exhibits from similar breeding and I like the type very much, true Dachshund in miniature with excellent neck and shoulder placement lovely reach of forchest good lenth of ribbing nicely rounded quarters topped of with true movement another who will go far. 2.Angears Ridgegrove Molly Flinders. A lady who really has that extra star quality she enters the ring and she commands your attention, From the tip of her nose to the end of her tail she is sheer quality her neck and shoulder placement are an absolute joy length of ribbing is top draw her topline is maintained whilst on the move I could go on but I think it is suffice to say I was totally charmed by her and had no hesitation in awarding her her 19th cc and on the referees decision B.O.B. and I was delighted to see her go R.B.I.S. 2.Angears Ridgegrove Eclipse.
