MINIATURE LONG HAIRED - BITCHES

I was very pleased with my winners, and all exhibits were of excellent temperament. There is however, still a big problem with narrow fronts, short upper arms and loose elbows plus several with flat splayed feet. I was pleased not to find any thin underfed dogs. MBP (6,2a) 1 Young's Willowheath Crazy Diamond. B & T Typical houndy head lovely expression, good reach of neck and length of ribbing. Excellent front and shoulders, moved out very well keeping level topline. 2 Brace's Zarcrest Ice at Art. B & T Again another super head and expression, very similar to 1 just needs to settle down on the move. 3 Brown's Devoncream Bouquet of Thyme. PB (9,3a) 1 Barnsdale's Chriskims Dark Spirit. B & T Excellent head & expression, good front and correct length of rib. In full coat, well presented, moved true keeping a level topline. Best Puppy in Breed. 2 McCarthy's Nagshall Pickety Witch. S. Cream another lovely puppy, very close decision, not as finished in coat as 1. 3 Tremble's Borthnook Pollyanna. JB 7 (1a) 1 Brown's Garbosa Chocolate Vogue. Choc. Correct houndy head carried well, with excellent expression. Good front with nice tight elbows, good length of rib with excellent hind angulation with well muscled hind quarters. In tip top condition, moved out well, seriously considered for the RCC I am sure this is a future winner. 2 Jamieson's Djeata Spring Blossom. Good head and expression, correct front and length of rib, moved well just preferred hind angulation of 1. 3 Way's Messines Magic Carrousel. PGB (9) 1 Brown's Garbosa Chocolate Vogue. 2 Palin's Gigi Ginger for Sanmik. S Red, shorter type than 1, moved out well, excellent length of rib and hind angulation, preferred head of 1. 3 Jamieson's Djeata Spring Blossom. LB (4,2a) 1 Roberts Denver Love me Tender. S. Cream. Super head and expression, excellent front with tight elbows, moved well, expertly handled. 2 Jamieson's Djeata Cosmopolitan. B & T. Excellent head and expression, very feminine, good length of neck, front and length of rib, not very settled on the move. OB (5,1a) 1 Locket-Walters Glenfin Pumpkin at Ralines. Excellent head, nice shaped eye, good reach of neck, lovely front with nice tight elbows. Super length of ribbing with a short strong loin. Excellent hind quarters. Moved around the ring with purpose, strode out well with great reach in front. Super hind quarters. Correct tight feet. A very sound little bitch who definitely deserved her crown. CC. 2 Roberts Ch Denver Suzi Wong. B & T. A very worthy Champion, shorter type than 1 but excellent throughout. Excellent feminine head, very glamorous, not quite the hind movement of 1. 3 Hazelby's Evadnne Danniella Rose

 MINIATURE LONGHAIRED - DOGS

I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for asking me to judge Miniature Longhaired Dogs with CCs, A V Veteran and the Variety classes. I was pleased with my class winners and would like the exhibitors to note a few comments. Some of the dogs felt thin and quite a few had very splayed feet, where has the tight bunched feet gone? Again a few needed some more presentation in coats and certainly dirty teeth need attention. MPD (2, 1a) 1Bantings Willowheath Dark Knight of Indicott, 6 months old black and tan, stood alone in this class, needs time to mature and settle on the move. Pleasing in head and eye, ok in front, feet tidy, correct coat and nice angulation. PD (4) 1 Charnley's Northnook Rafferty -9 months old, nice black and tan dog of good size and shape, my type, masculine head with good eye, pleasing neck, good ribbing and underline, nice front and feet, presented well and kept a firm topline at all times. 2 Roberts Wingcrest Goldfinger with Denver, shaded cream again of a nice size and shape, good pigmentation, good hindquarters, good front, moved well, unlucky to meet 1 today. 3 Leyshon's Picklescott Zigmund. JD (4, 1a) 1 Young's Willowheath ZZ top, another nice black and tan, good markings, well balanced throughout, typical masculine head with good eye, nice front and shoulders, good reach of neck, well ribbed and moved with style. 2 Shutt's Sanmiks Sir Gallahad at Donnayadoon, black and cream, good overall balance, good head and eye, liked his length of ribbing and well placed shoulders, good reach of neck, firm topline and underline. Well presented as always. 3 Croxford's Arbroath Lord of Glendhu. PGD (7, 2) 1 Oxley's Dinkidax Donny Rova JW, black and cream dog, like his size and shape, well defined head, correct eye, well ribbed, neat elbows, good reach of neck, moved well. 2 Welton's Chelane Masterclass, shaded red, again another nice dog, slightly taller than winner, preferred the head and angulation of winner, well presented and moved well. 3 Croxford's Arbroath Lord of Strathspey. LD (7, 2) 1 Illidge's Paradachs Murphy Moonshine, again another dog of my type, good overall balanced, sound head, good depth of keel, tidy feet, good reach of neck well ribbed and excellent angulation, good underline and neat hocks, moved and presented well. Delighted to award him RDCC. 2 Brown's Devoncream Dew 'n' Thyme, cream brindle well marked, preferred the underline of winner, nice front and depth of keel, typical head, neat elbows, good reach of neck, moved and showed well. OD (8, 1a) 1 Wood and Graham's CH Jadag Forton's Special, stood out in this class, well balanced, good length throughout, masculine head and nice shaped eye, good in all areas, particularly liked his reach of neck and layback of shoulder, firm topline and underline, good strong hindquarters which he used on the move, moved effortlessly around the ring, showed and presented to perfection. DCC and with the decision of my co-judge BOB. Delighted to see he went BIS as well. 2 Welton's CH Chelane Casper Carrot, red of different type to winner, just preferred the overall balance of winner, correct head and eye, not quite the front and feet of winner, firm topline, well presented, moved well around the ring. 3 Barnsdale's Chriskims Ray of Sunlight JW.
