MINIATURE LONG HAIRED

I was delighted to judge at this show and only sorry that the horrendous weather conditions marred the day. The committee worked tirelessly to keep exhibits as dry as possible, but in the end sadly the mud won! The inside rings were , however dry but inspite of this some of the younger dogs found it hard going on the bumpy ground. I tried to make allowances for this, but one young dog had apparently " never been on grass before" which I found astounding and very sad. I was delighted with my entry and no absentees, a rarity these days.

PD (5) 1 Geeson’s Bronia Return of the King to Abydachs naf. Sweet but very raw baby with super head and bone. Shaded cream with lovely dark eye and pigment. Good long ribbing and strong hindquarters. Firm topline and plenty of keel. Still a tad loose in front, but he managed the bumpy ground better than most and moved with drive. 2. Brown’s Raft house Raising Hell at Garbs. Another nice youngster with good front and keel. Nice chocolate with a lovely head and eye. Slightly shorter in ribbing than my winner and turns a foot a little. Moved well. 3. Dutson’s Rossdach Red Leader TAF shaded red with a pleasing head and outline. Not enough keel for me and needs to tighten in elbow . Firm topline and moved OK in the long grass.

JD
(3) 1 Brooks Lyndarlea Foxy Boy. Chocolate dog with a nice head and eye. Very steady in front with good keel, underline and feet.. Nice and long in rib, retained his topline on the move, strong behind. Best puppy dog, Won on maturity. 2 Dutsons R red leader. 3 Charnley’s Northnook Rafferty. Black and tan . Little broad in skull. He has sufficient keel and ribbing, a little short in neck and upper arm. Topline needs to settle on the move.

PGD (1) Brooks Lyndarlea Pedro. Stood alone Black and Tan Well ribbed and good keel. Good feet. Skull shape a little domed.

LD (5) 1 Oxley’s Dinkidax Donny Rova JW. Black and tan,. Nicely constructed with good front and keel, Good feet and shoulders Head OK eyes a little round. . Excellent topline Moved very well, bit too jolly in his tail carriage! But outline was not spoilt on the move.2 Brooks Lyndarlea Earth Tremor. Black and Tan of good construction but not the head or underjaw of my winner. Moved well, could tighten a little in front.3 Warren & Rowell’s Jadag Continental Diplomat JW ShCM. Another black and tan with a nice head and plenty of keel . Needs to tighten in elbow. Hindquarters OK and moved well though his ribbing could go further back.

OD
(6) 1. Turner’s Ch Rafthouse Herr Flick. Silver dapple very eye catching dog , well constructed with very good front and feet. Loved his head. Put down in super condition and moved faultlessly round the ring with terrific drive. Good topline and hindquarters, To be ultra critical his ribs could be a little more sprung, but he is a lovely dog to judge and I was delighted to award him his 5th CC. 2 Brown’s Am/Can/Int Ch Jympems Houdini at Garbosa JW. Red brindle with excellent construction throughout. Pleasing head and good neck and keel, Good feet. Moved with drive and good outline. His coat is a bit fluffy and you need to feel under the coat to assess his true quality. Res CC, I hope his title comes soon. 3. Brooks Lynderlea Choc Ice. Another well made chocolate dog. Very nice in front. Good ribbing going well back. Not quite as true in front coming as my 1st and 2nd. Moved round the ring with drive retaining good outline.

PB
(7) Very nice class of youngsters. 1. Brown’s Garbosa Saffron Sweet baby with all the right attributes. Clear red, with a super head, dark eye, good feet and keel. Just my type of dachshund, lovely to go over. Very good steady movement retaining her lovely outline with excellent long ribcage and strong hindquarters. BP. 2 Heiser’s Polinard Grace ‘n’Favour Shorter caste cream who also has a super head and eye and a good keel. Lovely to go over and good feet and ribbing. Moved with drive. Handler had her arm in a sling and was unable to do her credit when standing. 3. Dutson & Phillips’ Ralines Black Lace. Black and tan also nicely made with a good head, neck and shoulders.. Coat had been chewed which did not help the overall picture, I am sure when her jacket returns she will trouble the best.

JB
(4) 1 Charnley’s Northnook Lucy Anna Black and tan with good head and eye and good overall construction. Ribbing goes well back. Humped up a bit on the move but was OK when she settled. 2. Dutson & Phillips’ Ralines Black Lace. 3. Tremble’s Northnook Pollyanna another black and tan. Well ribbed with good topline. Little short in upper arm and turned her feet a little. Moved OK.

PGB
(7) 1 Cooper’s Jumanda’s Gipsy. Silver dapple with a pleasing head and good eye. Very good front and feet with plenty of keel. Good topline retained on the move. Well ribbed and quite strong behind . Her movement gave her this class. 2. Stagg’s Butterfly Geisha Girl. Another nice young lady with good head and front, rather unsettled on the move, but she retained her topline. 3. Mee’s Barlaines Bobby’s Girl another black and tan with good construction but lacking bone and substance throughout. Moved well.

LB (8) Brown’s Garbosa Chocolate Vogue, Another lovely one from this kennel and very similar in type to my puppy bitch winner. Lovely head and good eye. Excellent front , feet and plenty of keel.. Well ribbed and good topline. Strong hindquarters, beautifully presented and moved with great drive. Res CC. Must have a bright future. 2 Morrison’s Wilmaranna Miss Money Penny Another lady with nice construction. Not quite the strength in hock as my winner and movement was good in profile but needs to tighten coming and going. 3 Cooper’s Jumanda’s Black Magic. Black and Tan Well presented and nicely constructed, moved well not quite the flowing outline of my winner.

OB (7) 1 Goddard’s Ch Minard Krystal Darque. I have admired this lady from ringside and when I put my hands on her I understood why she has had her wonderful career. She has superb construction throughout with everything in the right place. So tight in front and with a super shoulder and good feet. Neck and topline and ribbing are excellent and her movement is faultless retaining her superb outline throughout. CC BOB and delighted to see her short listed for BIS. 2.Turner’s Willowheath Silver Sequin from Rafthouse. A lovely bitch immaculately put down, moved with drive. Well made with plenty of keel, Ribs could be a little more sprung. Must have a bright future. 3. Jamieson’s Dieata Spring Blossom. Another well made, well coated lady who had sufficient keel and good front and feet. Retained her topline on the move.
