MIN L/H – Thank you to Northern Dachs for my warm welcome on first CC appointment in L/h, also to my stewards who made it run so smoothly & the exhibitors for a super entry it was appreciated.

After going over many Min L/H at open show level in 80s/early 90s, I feel they have improved a great deal from loose elbows, no fronts, extremely thin, poor movement, round eyes, & no substance, but a few dedicated breeders are ensuring the quality is coming back again. I found most were presented beautifully but a couple needed bathing & one had very bad tartar on its teeth, this is unacceptable. However, my winners pleased me greatly, weight varied slightly from heavy ones & some could benefit from an extra portion for optimum condition.

MPD (3,1a) 1 Lockett-Walters & Walters’ Ralines One Of Those, what a good start, 7 months cream, just loved him, dark expressive eye & pigment, good shoulders & ribbing, neat hocks & feet. BP & BPIS, well done should have a promising future; 2 Vine’s Cishelvine Half In The Shade, another cream, not quite so mature as 1 but lots to like & full of attitude. JD (5,2) 1 Oxley Dinkidax Justin Credible, 13½ months, good head & neck, & topline & hindquarters, thought he moved out really well to score over another quality one, should do well; 2 Kennedy’s Denkena Loganberry, another cream of quality, well placed shoulders, good body, very balanced, bet these youngsters will swap over many times; 3 McCarthy’s Nagshall Mr Tambourine Man. YD (4) 1 D Justin Credible; 2 Drady’s Tolberg Paddy Guinness at Indiko, b/t, masculine head, heavy boned boy, shade narrow all through, in good coat, good hindquarters & moved well; 3 D Loganberry. PGD (5,1) 1 Bell’s Tolberg Super Ted, b/c litter brother to 2 in Yearling but more mature. Well balanced, good front construction, heavy boned boy, good length of rib & strong hindquarters, moved out well; 2 McCarthy’s Nagshall Just Santana, liked his head & neck, preferred it to 1. Shade longer cast in body, moved out well keeping good topline, in lovely coat & condition; 3 Woodall’s Half Century at Rarewood. LD (6,1) 1 Crawley & King’s Summerview Make Way For Roo, neat & compact, so much like, his sire I did well for years ago. Good shoulders, ribbing & hindquarters. He always gives a good account of himself, well handled to get the best from him; 2 Brown’s Garbosa Raising Cain, gorgeous rich choc, lots to like, good confirmation, head, neck & topline. Just preferred front movement of 1; 3 Gleneddee’s Mr Harvey Moon. OD (7) A Quality class. 1 Wood’s Ch Wildstar Wrenowned, b/t, a lovely dog to go over, super front, shoulders & ribbing. Best of feet, shown in wonderful condition, a credit his owner. CC; 2 Walter’s Ch Ralines Just Ozzie, cream, another nice one, well balanced, full of quality, good head & shoulders, tight elbows, moved out with drive. Sire of BPD, he is an asset to the breed. RCC; 3 Hallsworth’s Ch Abydachs Aniseed.

MPB (2) 1 McCarthy’s Nagshall Loralei, 6½ months, very feminine young lady, compact & composed, a sound baby showing well on quarters fore & aft, thought she showed promise. BPB, see she has same sire as my RBCC winner; 2 Allen’s Ralines Head Over Heels to Penparc, very showy, another good one, not quite so forward. Two nice puppies. PB (3) 1 McCarthy’s Nagshall Love Actually, cream 9½ months, liked her head & eye, good body & quarters, moved well, another quality puppy; 2 Mitchell’s Ralines Just Jodie, b/c, very attractive, same remarks as 1, just preferred overall balance of 1; 3 Brook’s Lyndarlea Little Pearl. JB (4,1) 1 McCarthy’s Nagshall Just So, litter sister to PB winner, like peas in a pod. Good head, dark pigment, good neck & shoulders, ribbing well back, nice pup; 2 Worswick’s Dolyharps Bitter Sweet, s/r, another feminine young lady, I liked a lot, good head & neck, tight elbows, super quarters; 3 Poole’s Findowries Easter Bonnet. YB (5) 1 Welton’s Eldmour Heaven Sent to Chelane, s/r, stunning head, well balanced, neat & compact, good quarters, moved out well with drive; 2 McCarthy’s Nagshall Sweet Molly Malone, b/c, super front, very good ribbing, just preferred movement on 1; 3 Chappell’s Glenedee Miz Crystal Dream. PGB (9) 1 Chappell’s Glenedee Miz Cool Chick, cream feminine girl, liked the compact well balanced body, short hocks, in good coat & condition, smart mover; 2 Rowell’s Tolberg Tiadrop at Emmajesk, b/t, different type to 1, built on heavier lines. Good front assembly, ribbing well back, good angles, moved well keeping topline; 3 Poole’s Findowries Facination. LB (12) 1 Worswick’s Dollyharps Desert Song, my notes say ‘wow’. Brindle of great quality, see she has the same sire as my BPB winner. Lovely head & neck, good & ribbing, well angulated quarters which she used to power round the ring with drive, pressed hard in the challenge. RCC; 2 Wood’s Wildstar Wromance, daughter of my DCC & similar quantities. Well constructed with substance, liked her a lot, another who moved out well; 3 Latham-Jackson’s Urishay Geranium. OB (10,1) 1 Lockett-Walters’ Ch Ralines Diamond Cluster, & what a diamond she is, b/c, thought her quite lovely to go over, so sound, lovely head & dark eye, built on clean lines, nice size & weight with substance, good shoulders & ribbing well back, parallel legs, moved out with drive. Pleased to award her CC & BOB; 2 Mourton’s Dinkidudlor Isha Auror at Eldmour, s/r, very pleasing to go over, compact with a good front & body & hindquarters, level topline, in lovely condition, moved well; 3 Pools Rings N’ Roses.
