A wonderful entry of 112 with few absentees. Thank you to all exhibitors who took my decisions in such a sporting manner resulting in a happy atmosphere around the ringside as it always used to be. General observations. Other than a couple, all exhibits well covered & none over weight except the two veterans who I excused. Temperaments without exception were fabulous. Coats, toplines & most hindquarters were also gd. Only one kinked tail. Front assemblies, sadly, with few exceptions v poor. Upright shoulders, short upper arms, crooked front legs & where are the broad feet with thick pads? The last couple of times I judged I though the mouth problem had been sorted but I found numerous exhibits with narrow bottom jaws & either 6 tiny incisors with two out of line or in other cases these had been extracted leaving just four incisors. The standard asks for a strong lower jaw with complete dentition, essential in a working hound.  MPD (8). 1 Moat's Kanix Nelson To Dianomo. Compact youngster who moves soundly all be it without much enthusiasm. Well covered, powerful quarters; 2 Blackburn's Stargang Malachite. Nice headed with gd eye & ear set. Lovely neck & topline. Nice profile movement; 3 Thorn Andrews Humphrey Gocart. PD (10). 1 Blackburn's Bennett Stargang Cosmopolitan. Smart baby, scored on his lovely head & expression. Gd topline & strong quarters; 2 Punter's Welcumen Oscar. Lovely size, looks fab going round. Well ribbed, v sound behind, gd coat & condition; 3 Allan & Dicks' Auchans Billy Whizz. J (5). 1 Hayward's Foxearth News Flash. Balanced hound, at last a well constructed forehand which won him the class & RCC. Equally gd behind, result, he powered round the ring keeping his lovely lines. Correct feet, well muscled; 2 Robertson's Ch Soletrader Denis The Menace. More elegant, lovely head, gd legs & feet, well ribbed, strong top & underline; 3 Young's Shemby Perfik Dream. PG (6). 1 Coles' Westonelee Trooper. Gd coated brindle of nice size. V well ribbed, strong quarters, inclined to fly his tail on the move which spoils his outline but I forgave this as it is well set. Standing he looked super, v sound; 2 Rees Nordach Hello Mr Wispa. Lovely coat & condition, melting expression, plenty of forechest. Gd outline at all times but not quite as true on the move as Trooper; 3 Howell's Fallowfield Nutz About Toffy. L (8). 1 Thorn Andrews Drakesleat Cheez Doff. V smart hound who keeps his lovely lines at all times. V true front & back, lovely head & expression, harsh jacket; 2 Smith Dunns Pitts Zakajak. V sound little d with excellent front & feet. Strong quarters, keeps his lovely lines at all times. Sound as a bell, with a little more confidence should win top honours; 3 Poxon's Kapodach Acer Trier. O (5). 1 Allan & Dick Ir Ch Auchans Roger The Dojjer. A neat d of gd size, scored here on his curvaceous outline which he kept all all times. Gd tail carriage, well boned, gd feet, true hind action; 2 Horswell & Iwama Jap Ch Drakesleat JP Trier Winshoten. Smart d who moves round with great verve. Lovely head, neck & topline; 3 Wilberg's Ch Kanix Keith. V (3). 1 Hayward's Ch Foxearth Fat Chance. Despite her 13 years was one of the best movers I had seen so far. Lovely front & quarters; 2 Barney Verrami Hazard A Guess. 10 yrs old, another well made, free moving lady who was enjoying her day out. MPB (11). 1 Coles' Kanix Nelly At Westonlee BP. Stood out, lovely head & neck going into well laid shoulder. Gd legs & feet, dead sound both ways; 2 Punters' Welcumen Lucy's Bonnet. Lovely p in make & shape keeping her super lines at all times. Absolutely sound both ways, not quite head of winner; 3 Marston Teale Lordscairne Geisha Love. P (12). 1 Booty & Archer Stargang Amethyst. This little b did not catch my eye at first but when I had her on the table found her really lovely. Super head, strong neck going into really well laid shoulder. Super legs & feet. To top in all lovely size & real fun nature. Dead true mover. At the moment still a little leggy but when she fills out think she will be super; 2 Blackburn's Stargang Doll Finn. Lovely head & neck, strong topline, v free mover; 3 Kogow & Holt's Waldmeister Guillemot. J (12). 1 Presnail Taree Ithaca. Sweet head, super front & lovely outline at all times. She excelled in her perfect front movement which I was finding so hard to find. To top it a really harsh red jacket; 2 Hardy's Kushwin Enigma. Lovely profile & great ground coverage. V well ribbed, gd legs & feet, not quite as true behind as winner; 3 Wiberg's Kanix Mary. PG (11). 1 Smith & Moon's Drakesleat Bahn Anna RCC. V smart well balanced b/t with a harsh jacket. Lovely head with strong muzzle. Excellent front with lovely clean line over the shoulder. She can fly her tail which does her no favours but once settled looked lovely standing & going round; 2 Jones' Bimini Dizzi Dancer. Lovely head, strong topline, gd length, nice profile movement; 3 Rigby Bimini Dancing On Air For Rigadac. L (17). 1 Haywards Foxearth Foto Copy, CC & BOB. My hands flowed from the tip of her elegant head to the tip of her strong tail. Plenty of forechest, perfectly laid shoulders. Strong les with gd feet, her movement was faultless. To crown it all she wore a really harsh jacket; 2 Punters' Welcumen Maiden Jane. Another topper, again super mover, strong top & underline. Well laid shoulder, gd legs & feet, really powerful quarters; 3 Horswell Drakesleat Voo Lay Voo. O (9). 1 Blackburn's Ch Stargang Coffee Renoir. Free moving brindle of gd length. Well ribbed, strong topline, powerful quarters; 2 Jones' Stargang River Dancer For Bimini. Lovely head & expression. She is v sound & keeps her lovely lines at all times. Just wish she moved with more enthusiasm; 3 Wilberg's Kanix Kalinka.
