MINIATURE WIREHAIRED

My first appointment giving CCs in this breed. No exhibits tipped the scales and none appeared thin or undernourished. However, dirty teeth were prevalent and several had what appeared to be extra teeth, therefore, bite was not as it should be. Coats, on the whole, were good and harsh to the touch. Pigmentation was dark, but I wanted to have seen more almond shaped eyes, and shorter nails. I was looking for the exhibit that was nearest to the standard of points. Short upperarm was the norm rather than the exception, and several exhibits were cow hocked, both faults affected the movement. Ribbing needs to be 2/3rd of the length of the body, loin to be 1/3rd, to give strength to the hindquarters, and enable the dog to move with drive. Several exhibits would benefit from some ringcraft lessons and some roadwork. MPD (4,1) 1 Huckerby's Norwilbeck Dark N Dashing. Just 6 months, so needs time to come together. Nicely made and moved well. 2 Smith's Dunns Pitts Justamin. A real baby who wasn't sure what to do. Should grow into a nice boy when he settles. 3 Hunt's Earthsea Sizzling Sausage. PD (5,1) 1 Price's Samlane Tetley. What a cracker! Good front construction and length of rib, which followed through to good hindquarters. Moved out well. Res CC, Best Puppy Dog and Best Puppy. 2 Shaw's Cilnant Happy Harry. Name suits him. Of similar build to the winner, but preferred front construction of 1. Needs time to get his act together. 3 Young's Nordach Hello Mr Wispa of Tarkus. JD (2) 1 Wilberg's Kanix Oscar. Just out of puppy, enjoying his day out. Reasonably built and moved ok. 2 Young's Barney Rubble of Tarkus. Reasonable front construction, but needs stronger hindquarters to enable him to stride out. PGD (3) 1 Black's Bassodon Bilbie. Reasonably made throughout, with a tidy jacket. Moved well and should mature nicely. 2 McDonough's Varrich Ben Lui. Another of the same ilk, a little unsure of himself on the day, but moved out well. 3 Hassall and McLeod's Sidelock Formula One. LD (3) 1 Punter's Welcumen Oscar. Well made boy of good size, with a good length of rib. Move well. 2 Kugow and Holt's Waldmeister Henry JW. Longer than the winner with a short upperarm, would prefer more angulation. 3 Poxon's Kapodach Chip and Pin JW. OD (6) 1 Blackburn 's Ch Stargang Malachite. Good front construction leading to a good length of ribbing, moved out well. Deserved the CC. 2 Hopgood's Dunnspitts Artful Dodger. Slightly longer and higher on the leg than the winner, but looked good, especially on the move, going and coming. A real dual purpose specimen. 3 Smith's Dunnspitts Zakajak. MPB (10) 1 Punter's Welcumen Temptation. Slightly forward in shoulder, good length of rib. Moved well. 2 Blackburn 's Stargang Beau Belle. Nicely made, but not happy and relaxed. Moved reasonably well and will be better when his hindquarters strengthen. 3 Payton's Marajo Eva. PB (5) 1 Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Diamond Star. Nicely made baby, bred the same way as the DCC winner. Good front and ribbing leading to reasonable hindquarters. Moved well when she put her mind to it. Best Puppy Bitch. 2 Price's Samlane Touch of Gin. Litter sister to RDCC winner. Same comments as winner but decided not to co-operate with her handler on the day. 3. Punter's, Welcumen Temptation. JB. (7 ). 1. Poxon's, Kapodach Sukiyaki. Lovely girl. Good front, going through to good length of rib and hindquarters. Moved well. 2. Blackburn 's, Stargang Tuesday's Girl. Good length all through. Moved well, but not happy on the day. 3. Dance's, Emem All Het Up. PGB. (14). Lovely class. 1. Waite's, Molloney Sue Flay at Pedach. Lovely specimen I have admired from the ringside. She stood four square. Looked good going and coming and everything in the right place. Presented to perfection and at one with her handler. No hesitation in awarding her the CC, her first and BOB. Best of the day in my opinion. 2. Blackburn 's, Shardagang Mayhem. Nicely made young lady, but needs to settle to show off her assets. Should do well. 3. Kugo and Holt's, Waldmeister Guillomot JW. LB. (8). 1. Price's, Samlane Pink Gin. Well made bitch with good front construction leading to good length of rib and hindquarters which she used on the move, but would co-operate when it came to the challenge for RBCC. 2. Dance's, Emem Hot Gossip. Well made bitch with good front leading to good length of rib. Preferred hindquarters of winner. 3. Gunnrange Ophelia Jaybiem. OB. (8). A difficult class to judge. 1. Fulton's, Bothlyn Black Rose. Looked good stacked and moved well, reasonably put together, but lost topline on the move in the challenge. RCC. 2. Wilberg's, Kanix Mary. Reasonably made young lady, but lost out to winner on hind movement. 3. Dance's, Emen Twirly Girl.
