My grateful thanks to my two stewards, Mrs Donovan and Mr Roberts, for their assistance on the day. Many thanks to the exhibitors for their support. It is six years since I last judged the breed and I was impressed with the quality of the dogs. Many of the dogs were affected by the cold and their performance was reflected in my final placings. I was pleased to hear that my BD and BB have since gained their titles (subject to KCapproval).

MPD (1) 1 Marston-Teal’s Lordscairnie Love To Dance. Brindle baby of 9 months, lovely head and expression, good reach of neck, correct shoulders, well angulated quarters, level topline on the move, promising puppy, just needs to settle down.

PD(1) 1 Presnail’s Taree Nelson. Brindle, good head and expression, decent reach of neck into correct shoulders, good pin wire coat, decent length of ribbing, well made quarters, kept his topline, moved with purpose. BP.

JD(3, 2) 1 Way’s Sudasam Mayisujest. Brindle, lovely head and expression, good reach of neck, well laid shoulders, good front assembly, well angulated quarters, moved soundly.

PGD(4) 1 Price’s Samlane Teley. Black brindle, pleasing head, expressive eyes, good reach of neck, well placed shoulders, well ribbed, good quarters, positive driving movement. 2 Shaw’s Cilnant Happy Harry. Brindle, decent head and expression, firm level topline, good quarters fore and aft, just lost out on movement to first. 3 Miller’s Palsuz Little Red Devil.

LD(2) 1 Hassall &McLeod’s Sidelock Formula One. Top quality brindle, lovely head and expression, lengthy neck, good front assembly, correctly laid shoulders, firm topline, well developed keel, well angulated quarters, excels in body shape, sound positive driving movement, lovely temperament, well deserved CC. 2 Miller’s Palsuz Red Devil. Brindle, pleasing head and expression, good reach of neck, topline and quarters, kept his outline on the move.

OD(5) 1 Thorn-Andrews’ Ch Drakesleat Win Alot. Brindle, typical masculine head, dark expressive eyes, good reach of neck flowing into correctly laid shoulders, firm topline, well developed quarters, moved positively fore and aft. Res CC. 2 Kugow &Holt’s Waldmeister Henry JW. Brindle, pleasing head and expression, good reach of neck, excellent forechest, well laid shoulders, good length of ribbing, strong quarters, happy confident disposition, well presented. 3 Evans’ Emem Storms Ahead.

MPB(2) 1 Marston-Teal’s Lordscaairnie Xclusive Love. Brindle, lovely head and expression, good reach of neck, correctly laid shoulders, good front assembly, good length of ribbing, well angulated quarters, well balanced positive driving movement. 2 Dance’s Emem Hello Loo Lia. Sweet 6 month old baby, nice head and expression, a little full bodied at the moment, well placed shoulders, hindquarters ok, happy disposition, sound, free moving.

PB (5, 1) 1 Howells’ Fallowmill Miss Govey. Brindle, lovely head, feminine expression, tidy reach of neck, correctly placed shoulders, nice body shape, well sprung ribbing and angulated hindquarters, won this class on her positive driving movement. 2 Presnail’s Taree Nevis. Black brindle, pleasing head, good reach of neck, correct shoulders, firm topline, nice quarters, pleasing in profile, moved and handled well. 3 Mobley’s Samlane What Else Of Jakanem.

JB(11, 2) 1 Thorn-Andrews’ Drakesleat Winsum Losum. Brindle, typical head and expression, good dark eye, lengthy neck, excellent forechest, well sprung ribbing, firm topline and well angulated hindquarters, excellent coat, sound and free movement won this class. 2 Roberts’ Drakesleat Win’er Take All To Swansford. Litter sister to first, dark brindle, feminine head, expressive eyes and expression, good reach of neck, excellent forechest, good front assembly, level topline, good hindquarters, pleasing outline on the move, preferred movement of first on the day. 3 Williams’ &Rose’s Tythe Rhian.

PGB(4) 1 Billinghurst’s Drakesleat Russia About Jiljac. Black brindle, pleasing head and expression, long strong neck, correctly laid shoulders, level firm topline, well angulated, sound and positive driving movement won this class. 2 Dance’s Emem All Het Up. Brindle, liked her head and expression, lovely reach of neck flowing into correctly laid shoulders, firm level topline, good angulated quarters, good outline on the move, well handled. 3 Price’s Samlane Touch Of Gin.

LB(5, 1) 1 McLeod’s Sidelock Do I Look Bovvered. Attractive brindle, pleasing head, reachy neck, correct shoulder placement, oval keel, good length of ribbing, level topline, nicely angulated quarters, moved positively fore and aft. Res CC. 2 Baldwin’s Beckel Pent-House Baby. Brindle, lovely head and expression, good reach of neck, correct shoulder, ribbing, topline, excellent quarters, sound steady movement. These two quality bitches on another day could change places. 3 Howell’s Fallowmill Poca Hon Tis.

OB(5, 2) 1 Thorn-Andrews’ Drakesleat Miss Suebishy. Lovely head and expression, good neck into correct shoulders, excellent forechest, good ribbing and well angulated quarters, correct tail set, well balanced, sound positive driving movement, was pleased to award CC and BOB. 2 Dance’s Emem Sunny Spells. Attractive brindle, appealing head and expression, excellent shoulders, strong topline, well sprung ribbing, good angulated quarters, well handled, moved with enthusiasm. 3 Marston-Teal’s Lordscairnie Love Diamonds.
