MINIATURE WIREHAIRED
MPD(2) 1 Blackburn’s Shantallah Diamond Dealer At Stargang, Best PD. 2
Jones’ Shantallah Black Diamond Among Carlita. Promising 7 month litter
brothers, both held smart outlines with good body proportions, liked their
heads, in excellent jackets, as you would expect from their breeding, preferred
the front construction of first with good return of upper arm, and he was firmer
in hind movement.
PD(5, 1) 1 Punter’s Welcumen Jeremy. Very smart 10 month r/br in
excellent jacket, held a firm outline, pleased in front construction, neck, head
carriage, ribbing carried well back, was a little unsettled having been rushed
into the ring, most promising. 2 Kugow &Holt’s Waldmeister Samuel. No doubting
this young mans masculinity, 9 month r/br, excellent in head, jacket and
deportment, preferred the front construction of first, although he covers the
ground, would prefer shorter hocks which would improve rear movement. 3 Lewis’
Clipperdown Mean Machine At Trixhund.
JD(3, 1) 1 Howells’ Fallowmill Back And Fetch. Res CC. 13 month d/br
who immediately catches the eye, lovely well filled front, firm chunky body with
good musculature and ribbing carried well back, all wrapped up in a harsh, crisp
jacket, moved out very soundly with lots of animation. 2 Douglas’ Kmai Razzle
Dazzle Of Torabbi. 15 month br who pleased in head, top and underline, good
jacket, could not match the front and firm condition of first.
Sp Beginners D (1) 1 Kmai Razzle Dazzle Of Torabbi.
PGD(2) 1 Dance’s Deepdax Overdraft Too Far Emen. 13 month d/br, lovely
stamp of a dog, loved his head, chunky body, well filled front, harsh jacket,
moved out in a steady controlled manner, would like to see more animation. 2
Hill &Niall’s Drakesleat Brass Doff. Attractively headed 19 month light/br who
pleased in outline, preferred the front construction, coat and movement of
first.
LD(3, 2) 1 Price’s Samlane Tetley. D/br pin wire, lovely to go over,
good body proportions, excelled in head, neck and shoulders, whilst he moved out
smartly, would look better with shorter hocks.
OD(5) 1 Thorn-Andrews’ Ch Drakesleat Win Alot. CC and BOB. Real houndy
d/br who excelled in all departments, a real Dachshund in miniature, best head
in the entry, holds a super outline, loved his head carriage, scored in top and
underline, ribbing carried well back, harsh jacket, is exceptional on the move,
so sound away and back and with great freedom in profile, stood away here. 2
Russell’s Russteck Fillibeg. Very smart b/t with sharp outline, strong masculine
head, reachy neck, good body proportions, ribbing carried well back, harsh close
coat, could not match the movement of first. 3 Black’s Bassodon Bilbie.
Sp V D/B (1) 1 Douglas &Banks’ Torabbi Welsh Malt. ShCM. 9 year old
light/br dog in good nick, good basic construction, well filled front and with
good ribbing, moved out very soundly with lots of animation, really enjoyed
himself.
MPB(8, 1) Lovely class of promising babies, most encouraging
for the future. 1 Thorn-Andrews’ Drakesleat Mass Wisteria. Best PB and BP. D/br
baby of 6 months, so lovely to go over, everything just right, head, front,
shoulders, ribbing, hindquarters, short hocks, good jacket then moved out so
soundly with lots of animation, real star in the making. 2 Angear’s Ridgegrove
Diamond Doll. Another top quality baby of 6 months, lovely chunky body with good
front and ribbing, good top and underline, harsh jacket, moved out really
soundly, at present too proud of her tail. 3 Rees’ Ridgegrove Sapphire Doll At
Ermewood.
PB(3) 1 Blackburn-Bennet’s Stargang Lady Gaga. 10 month brindle
out of the top drawer, clear winner here, looked excellent at the stack, super
forechest, super top and underline, good body proportions, harsh crisp jacket,
moved out well, splitting hairs with minor puppy, lacked sparkle in the
challenge. 2 Hooper’s Starhill Twelfth Night. 7 month brindle baby at first
show, nicely put together and with good jacket, at present she is a little
unsure what is required of her, needing patience in handling and she will
blossom. 3 Offen’s Gordax Bluebell For Linconor.
JB(7, 2) 1 Meredith’s Deepdax Credit Crunch. Classy 13 month d/br
out of the same mould as her litter brother (winner of post grad), super head,
outline and front, harsh jacket, moved out really smartly, would ideally like
better ribbing. 2 Jones’ Bimini Starlight Express. Quality 12 month light/br,
lovely in outline, well put together, pleasing to go over, coat and performance
did not match first, please pay attention to nails. 3 Poxon’s Kapodach Izzi
Miyaki.
Sp Beginners B(1) 1 Westerman’s Nadavin Integrity. 2 year old
b/t, presented a pleasing outline on the stack, moved out smartly, whilst
ribbing is carried well back, front angulation does not balance with that of the
hindquarters, like many here today, shorter hocks would improve.
PGB(12, 3) 1 Mobley’s Samlane What Else Of Jakanem. 19 month d/br
who appealed greatly for type, houndy head, good body and coat, moved out
soundly with animation. 2 Hooper’s Starhill Lady Of Shall Ott. 23 month
choc/tan, lovely chunky package, appealed greatly for type, very pleasing in
outline, balanced in angulation, well presented in good coat, tended to fly her
tail. 3 Lancastr &Miller’s Drakesleat Ott Stuff Pellismer.
LB(12, 4) 1 Thorn-Andrews’ Starhill Lady Of The Lake At
Drakesleat. Classy 23 month choc/tan litter sister to Lady Of Shall Ott. What a
good litter, very pleasing all through, balanced angulation in both fore and
hindquarters, well filled forechest, ribbing carried well back, short hocks,
well presented harsh jacket, moved out soundly and with animation, close up in
challenge. 2 Price’s Samlane Touch Of Gin. Typy brindle in excellent jacket,
lovely houndy head, very much out of the same mould as her brother (Tetley),
lovely to go over, balanced in outline with good forehand and hindquarters,
ribbing well back, shorter hocks than brother, moved out soundly. 3 Kugow
&Holt’s Waldmeister Steffi JW.
OB(8) Hotly contested class. 1 Baldwin’s Beckel Pent House Baby. CC. 2
Thorn-Andrews’ Drakesleat Winsum Losesum. Res CC. Found it difficult to separate
these beautiful bitches, quality all through, both score in overall balance with
firm toplines, well filled oval fronts, sound in both fore and hindquarters,
chunky well developed bodies, all wrapped up in harsh jackets, both were sound
in movement with good reach in front and driving off short parallel hocks,
thought that on the day the winner had the edge with a touch more verve. I
understand that this gives Pent House Baby her title and that Winsum Losesum
gained hers at Leeds. Congratulations to them both. 3 Roberts’ Drakesleat Win’er
Take All To Swansford.
