Thank you to all the exhibitors for a lovely entry & my steward David Oram.

I had some lovely classes to judge. I was also pleased to see a junior handler exhibiting. That’s where my showing days started showing my mother’s Afghans some 45 years ago. So I hope you all help & encourage her in this lovely breed.

MPD (1) 1 Cassidy’s Kosenez Little Rambler, a good coated 6 month old brindle, he has a nice head & dark eye, correct rear & he moved well when settled, just a baby but shows promise. PD (2) 1 Howell’s Fallomill Sydney, extrovert r/br, loved his hound head, well made all through, moves true back & front, well presented harsh jacket. BPD; 2 Presnail’s Taree Useless Loop, dark brindle of nice type, lovely head & eye, reachy neck, level topline which he held on the move, in super coat & condition, he was two months younger than 1 so less mature, very promising. JD (5,1a) Jones’ Bimini Starstruck, a very nice light brindle, just my type, he has a stunning head & eye, good front & ribbing, level topline held on the move, well angulated hindquarters, moved soundly. RCC, must have a bright future, sired by my CC winner; 2 Kirkwood, Emery & Spence’s Helydon Go Harley at Cicada, b/br, different type to 1 but things to like, masculine head, well ribbed, super hind angulation, sound on the move, just a little close in front. YD (4,2) 1 Flowers & Soderburg’s Baltiskly Tawsman Indiana Jones, b/t with the best of coats, super head & eye, moves around holding good outline, just a little short in upper arm; 2 Hunt’s Earthsea Billy The Kid, taller type brindle boy, with a good head & eye, moved OK, just too narrow all through for me. PGD (2,1) 1 Kugow & Holt’s Waldmeister Darby, super coated brindle with a good head, super length & depth of ribbing, strong loin, moved with enthusiasm, in hard muscular condition. LD (2) 1 Grant’s Barritini Ted Astaire at Granhoward, brindle with a good head, reach of neck, well made front, kept a good shape on the move, a nice dog, just wish he would show himself off more; 2 Feetham’s Bothlyn Wee Man at Kimbleholme, brindle with good overall balance, correct front, ribbing could be better, sound on the move. OD (3) 1 Rose’s Ch Ridanflight Ricardo, classy r/br, full of type & quality, super ribbing, the harshest of coats, on the move a real showman, delighted to award him the CC; 2 Fulton’s Ch Bothlyn Brigadoon, another worthy champion, with excellent front construction & ribbing, well angulated hindquarters & short hocks, well presented coat; 3 Haywood’s Foxearth Fiddler On The Roof. VD (2) 1 Evans’ Emem Storms Ahead, lovely 9 year old brindle, good to go over, keeps a super outline on the move & very true movement; 2 Black’s Ch Bassadon Bilbie, also a super boy to go over, he’s so well made, in good order, just couldn’t match 1’s enthusiasm on the move.

MPB (7,1) 1 Marston-Teal’s Lordscairne Life Of Love, a shapely brindle with well laid shoulders, good ribbing, tidy top & underline, she’s a promising baby but needs more confidence; 2 Kelly’s Kmai I Am What I Am, red, completely different type to 1, being much rangier but she has a nice head, reachy neck, level topline & is ultra sound on the move; 3 Hunt’s Earthsea April Fool. PB (6,1) 1 Flowers & Smith’s Bingobongo Short And Sweet, I really fell for this b/br, she has a lovely head with dark eye, correct front, super length & spring of rib, harshest of coat, very sound on the move & such a happy girl with wonderful temperament, very promising. BPB & BP; 2 Morris’ Pennywave Uptown Girl, another super baby, so nicely balanced, correct angulation, lovely hammy hindquarters, just not as strong in topline as 1, but should mature & finish a lovely bitch; 3 K I Am What I Am. JB (7) 1 Russell’s Russteck So Fair A Dream, I loved this brindle, just the type I like, she has a pleasing head, excellent shoulders, tight elbows, well ribbed, super hindquarters, lovely outline in profile, in hard muscular condition, coat presentation superb. RCC; 2 Fulton’s Bothlyn Dancing Queen, a very nice liver choc with a super harsh coat, excellent front, good top & underline, well angulated hindquarters, sound mover, well presented; 3 Feetham’s Kimbleholme Queen Of Hearts. YB (6,1) 1 R So Fair A Dream; 2 Price’s Samlane Belleza, a really houndy girl, lovely head & eye, correct front, well ribbed, good coat, sound free mover, keeping her outline, a very honest type of bitch; 3 Morris’ Pennywave Top Totti. PGB (5) 1 Kirkwood’s Helydon Fabulous Freya, harsh coated brindle, loved her head & eye, good front & ribbing, strong loin & can she move, easy stride covering the ground, all topped off with temperament to die for, liked her a lot; 2 Dance’s Bimini Time To Travel to Emem, neat brindle, balanced all through, super harsh coat, moved soundly, what a showgirl, her tail never stopped wagging, lovely to see; 3 Walker’s Roselle Irenee. LB (7) 1 Kugow & Holt’s Waldmeister Annie, a lovely brindle with a good reach of neck & length & depth of ribbing, well muscled hindquarters, level topline, sound free mover, shown in excellent order; 2 Marston-Teal’s Lordscairne Rhythm Of Love, nicely made brindle, looked good in profile, excellent front, level topline, just needs more confidence to show herself off; 3 Morris-Stargang Quintina at Pennywave. OB (13,2) What a lovely class, 11 very nice bitches & a few had to go cardless. 1 Russell’s Russteck I Dreamed A Dream, b/br, she is so classy, stunning outline, the best of fronts, well ribbed, strong loin, so well angulated hindquarters, short hocks, sound free mover, in gleaming coat & condition, I was delighted to award her the CC, her second, hope her crown isn’t far away, so deserves to be a champion, simply stunning. CC & BOB; 2 Howell’s Fallowmill On The Button, brindle, I’ve always admired, so elegant, I liked her head & eye, correct front, super top & underline, so sound moving, tight harsh coat, just carrying too much weight today, still a lovely bitch; 3 Haywood’s Foxearth Fatama Salkon. VB (1) 1 Haywood’s Ch Foxearth Foto Copy, 12½ years red, can still outmove a lot of the younger ones, strong & workmanlike, excellent topline & the harshest of coats, in superb condition. BV
