Delighted to be given the opportunity to award CCs in this
variety. Six years on from being approved, and there was a good
representation of 33 exhibits with six absent. Apologies for coat colours
being rather hit and miss! The catalogue revealed much co-operation between
	you all.
PD (1) 1 Thorn Andrews’ Drakesleat Gud Day Sunshine. 8 mths,
son of the BOB, undeniable quality, fabulous head being long and conical
with taper, dark almond eye, good neck with some arch, correct 2:1
proportions for length, height, balanced angles, clearance, harsh coated,
true flowing movement whilst he had a firm backline to go over, he insisted
on arching in his enthusiasm and in subsequent challenges as his owner
	sportingly acknowledged.
JD (1) 1 Ergis’ Captain Tom Of Siouxline. 15 mth brindle,
actually 100 per cent Drakesleat and another son of the BOB. Exciting
youngster, lovely head and eye, well filled in front, good neck and
backline, moved absolutely parallel, had been stripped out ready for the
summer campaign and was showing us an excess of teenage tuck-up, one with an
	assured future.
PGD (1) 1 Storton & Storton’s Dereheath Major Tom. Not again!
Could do with a financial stake in the BOB, as here stood his 22 mth dark
brindle son. Dark, almond eye, tapered muzzle with no loss of strength, has
ground clearance, good 2:1 proportions, good in neck and forehand, muscled
rear, just that bit anxious on the move but that will pass as the show
season opens up and he will be quickly moving up the ranks.
LD (3) 1 Pain’s Ravensbeech Buccleugh. 2 yrs gold brindle
being handled for this iconic ‘hound’ prefix, just so correct in so many
breed specifics, good length to head with conical skull, high set ears,
oblique, almond eye, uniform taper, good clean neck and forehand with
prominent breastbone, oval chest, good clearance, well ribbed up, short loin
with slight rise, excellent jacket, correct croup, muscled rump, good rear
angulation, sound as a bell with flowing style so as to elevate him in the
rankings. Res DCC. 2 Russell’s Russteck Romeo. Just turned 2 yrs b/t,
correct head proportions with gradual taper, light eye, good neck and
forehand, level, has clearance, good length but courtesy of a rather long
loin as rib is short, excellent rump and rear angulation, so as to move with
drive. 3 Grant’s Pennywave Percy At Granhoward.
	OD (4) 1 Thorn Andrews & Billinghurst’s Drakesleat Kumquat
May. Just turned 3 yrs, brindle, struck me as balanced, functional and
unexaggerated, correct in both head and body proportions, excellent facial
features, long, clean neck into an excellent forehand with prominent
breastbone, ground clearance, compact, correct underline, well ribbed up,
level to a slight rise over loin and correct croup, enviable jacket, handled
to get the best out of him as he moved parallel with reach and drive as
though on a mission. DCC and BOB. 2 Russell’s Russtack The Bruce. Four and a
half yrs, sire of Res DCC, a shade lighter in eye and somewhat between
‘strips’, but ticked so many breed specific boxes, lovely head shape that
was tapered along its length and with minimum stop, well filled front, good
clearance, good neck and backline, compact, well ribbed up, muscled,
balanced angles so strode out well. Ch quality. 3 Mills-Jones’ Carlita
	Sunrise JW.
	VD (2) 1 Black, Black & Black’s Ch Bassodon Westwood. 9 yrs
and had a hunch he may be titled with such a long list of breed qualities,
correct and unexaggerated both in head and body proportions, well set, dark
almond eye, excellent neck and shoulder, well filled front, firm backline,
compact, well angulated in rear, correct croup, ground clearance enabled
free movement, a privilege to judge him. BVIB. 2 Corner, Corner & Corner’s
Holrik Mister Mischief. 12 yrs, quite remarkable, bit erratic, in ear
carriage and a bit heavier in body but good proportions, well filled front,
great backend, still firm in backline, moved with purpose as befits his
conformation, long may be bely his seniority.
	SBD/B (1) 1 Corner, Corner & Corner’s Gragareth Girl At
Carcorn. Bang on 3 yrs b, pretty headed and utterly feminine, rather lacking
in front angulation as against her well muscled and angulated rear, so as to
appear unbalanced and insisted on jumping along as she celebrated her
obvious joy at being out with her own pack again.
PB (4) 1 Rose’s Kavacanne Love Of My Life. 10 mths. What an
exciting pup and now see is a Ricardo daughter and skillfully handled,
whilst owner was occupied, to get every ounce out of her, beautiful head
with well placed ear and dark, obliquely set almond eye, excellent neck into
a well filled and angulated front, good both in topline and underline,
correct rear angulation with good croup, tail and rump, strode out with
parallel ease and with slight rise over loin, has an assured future with
added maturity. BPIB. 2 Storton & Storton’s Dereheath Livia. 9 mths red
brindle, daughter of D Major Tom. Understandably a little unsure and needing
to settle as she learns the ropes but is pretty headed and of good overall
	structure and proportions.
	JB (1) 1 Gilroy, Gilroy & Gilroy’s Russteck Take A Chance On
Me. 14 mths brtindle of excellent breed type and conformation, so as to fill
the eye, very feminine but without losing strength of form, lovely head that
uniformly tapers, well set eye and ears, balanced, good body length/height
proportions, has clearance, excellent jacket, well ribbed back, muscular
rear, very ‘together’ for a teenager and was fluid and sound once she
accepted the ‘going’ and relaxed, certainly one to take a chance on.
PGB (6, 2) 1 Stephenson’s Molloney Winnie Tergames At Wistex.
Three and a half yrs red brindle, good type and structure, albeit lacked
some fill through her front, lovely headpiece, excellent eye, good neck,
excellent jacket, well covered ribs into a short, strong loin, muscled and
angulated backend to give propulsion and style on the move. 2
Kirkwood-Emery’s Helydon Nifty Nairn JW. Two and a half yrs and hence less
mature. Very good type and shape, long head with gradual taper, well set eye
and ear to give true expression, well laid shoulder, harsh coated, good in
neck and backline, carried herself well with clearance, aided by her gifted
young handler. 3 Storton & Storton’s Dereheath Dee Major.
LB (3, 1) 1 Thorn Andrews’ Drakesleat Drop Dead Gorjus. 4
yrs, full of breed type with so much to like. Good head shape and
proportions yet maintaining strength right down through her jaw, excellent
front assembly with foreleg covering lowest point of keel, excellent
clearance, well ribbed back, albeit needed no more body condition, correct
in croup, good underline, excellent coat, was initially stubborn to make
full use of her broad, meaty hindquarters but gave an excellent outline with
proud head carriage. Given time and on excellent feet. Res BCC. 2 Kirkwood’s
Helydon Magical Mika. Rising 4 yrs, conical skull with length and taper to
tip of nose, good in eye and ear, good backline, well ribbed up, excellent
hindquarters provided drive to carry herself well, rather heavy over the
shoulders and was crossing in front.
OB (5, 1) 1 Dance’s Ch Emem Summer Sunshine JW. 3 yrs red
brindle, bred in the purple and another Ricardo daughter. Quality head with
uniform taper, prefer eye a shade darker, ears well set, correct 2:1 body
proportions, firm topline and tight underline, good clearance, such an
elegant, stylish outline displaying ‘textbook’ reach and drive and a defiant
head carriage. One classy lady. BCC. 2 Mills-Jones, Williams & Moes’ Imp
Cobra Lily Vitoraz (Imp Cze). Rising 2 yrs, long head, good eye, minimal
stop, ears rather immobile, good keel and front angulation, good in neck and
backline with clearance, a little long in loin and rather overangulated in
rear, well turned out and carried herself with some positive style. 3
	Kirkwood-Emery & Kirkwood-Emery’s Helydon Jinglebells.
