A huge thank you for the committee for inviting me to judge my first set of CCs and to exhibitors for entering your dogs. I thoroughly enjoyed my day. I was looking for a mini wire of good breed type who is capable of working, good front and rear angulation needs to be considered to ensure correct reach and drive on the move- many lacked one or both.

As one of the first shows following the removal of the scales I found most exhibits of a good size and well within the standard. I was delighted that there were no thin dogs presented. I would urge exhibitors that even without scales dogs should be kept at a weight suitable for their size, many would benefit from portion control and more exercise to develop better muscle tone.

Today the quality of bitches was by far better than the boys, but on the whole I was delighted with my final line ups and many youngsters to be excited about.

Minor Puppy Dog (2,1)

1st Kay’s Kaytian The Suncaller. Lovely happy red boy with super head and expression. Good overall balance. Moved away and back true, keeping a good topline. Would like to see a touch more reach and drive.

Puppy Dog (2,2)

1ST Jones’ Bimini Song Sung Blue. What a lovely young male who demanded my eye the minute he walked in the ring! Excellent head and expression. Superb type with nothing overdone. Excellent bone and balance. Best of front angulation which gave correct front reach, held a good topline on the move. Moved with real purpose and drive and delighted to award him CC & BPIB

2ND Mullen’s Rozelle Fools Gold. Another lovely puppy with real potential and unlucky to meet 1 today. Good overall balance and super hammy rear. Head still developing.

Junior Dog (3,2)

1ST Corominas’ Almarxils Diego for Ruichango. A red boy with a good coat. Gives an overall balanced picture. Lovely front angulation giving good front reach and coming action and moved out well. Would have liked more ribbing.

2ND Corner’s Carcorn Raphael's Racer Shown. This boy was enjoying his day out. Super coat. Would like slightly better front angulation, good rear angulation and drive when settled. Head ok, good ears super tail set.

Post Graduate Dog (3,2)

1ST Kent’s Barratini Du Beke at Lokmadi. A solid young man with an excellent coat. Best of fronts with correct length of upper arm and angulation. Would like more in rear, however on the move he picked himself up and would happily go all day, just as a working hound should. Lovely feet and good tail set.

2ND Tomsett’s Dajean's Red Sun. Good rear angulation, preferred 1st length of upper arm and reach. Needs to grow in confidence to keep topline on the move. Head ok, good coat.

Limit Dog (6,6)

1ST Sexton & Dasilv’s Molloney Woody or Won't He at Erteke. This boy is of a lovely type. Best of heads and expression. Superb ribbing, front construction, keel and ground clearance. Excellent body and hard condition. Coat ready for coming out. Kept a good topline, another who would happily go all day keeping a good shape on the move, gaining him the RDCC

2ND Tomsett’s Dajean Surely A Star Loved this boys type. Best of heads with stunning expression. Good neck and topline on the move. Just not the rear angulation and drive of 1. Coat just coming in but of good texture.

3RD Crossman & Kennedy Foxearth Fly by Nigh

Open Dog (4,3)

1ST Thorn Andrews’ Ch Drakesleat Gud to Go. Shown in perfect condition, excellent tone and muscle. Good overall shape with ground clearance. Head ok. Good front and rear angulation. Moved away and back true. Super topline on the move just lost out on drive in the challenge.

2ND Black’s Bothlyn Back in Black Bassodon Well balanced male of good type. Good ribbing, loved his hammy rear. Moved true away and back. Held a good topline. Another in super hard condition. Super coat.

3RD Tomsett’s Dajean Surely A Star

Veteran Dog (1,1)

1ST Bruty Jantar Red Horses (Imp Pol). Lovely chocolate male with a good coat. Good hammy rear, lots of body. Moved away and back true.

 Puppy Bitch (4,3)

1ST Mullen’s Rozelle Old Flame Red with a super coat. Lovely head and expression. Very nice compact shape with good balance. Enough ground clearance. Moved out well with good reach, rear drive and a super topline. Really liked this girl and considered for top honors. One I am sure will have a bright future. BPB

2ND Jones’ Bimini Indigo Blue. Brother to my DCC winner and much to like. Another of super breed type, great neck overall shape and moved well. Not the coat of winner, but I’m sure will come. Just needs time to mature but everything there and some.

3RD Hambling Tythe Tic Toc Around Chaseover

Junior Bitch (5,3)

1ST Dance’s Emem Hazel Sunshine JW Good overall balnace. Moved out well, held a good outline and covered the ground well. Good front and lovely harsh coat.

2ND Corner’s Carcorn Driving Miss Daisy. Good outline, balance and moved well when settled. Nice head and a good coat. Enjoying her day and making her handler work today with her head enjoying lots of sniffs.

3RD Sieminski Dajean Surely A Vision

Post Graduate Bitch (10,8)

What a lovely class of real quality girls! A pleasure to judge and those in cards could easily swap places on a different day.

1ST Howells’ Fallowmill Story Time Loved this girl type and shape. Nothing exaggerated. Excellent front giving correct reach, superb hammy rear resulting in correct rear drive – one who could go all day and fit for function. Super head, eye and expression. Good neck into a super strong topline and loin. Delighted to award RCC

2ND Woodvine-Shone Hanishan Ringing Tones. Another of super quality. Again, a super front with correct front reach, excellent topline and hammy rear giving good drive. Good balance and correct height to length ratio.

3RD Dance’s Emem Hope for Sunshine JW

Limit Bitch (8,8)

1ST Dance’s Emem Autumnal Sunshine JW. Lovely shape and overall balance. Hammy rear with good drive. Good neck and kept a good topline. Good head. Super texture to coat

2ND Mullen’s Rozelle Are You Ready. Good overall shape. Good forechest, front angulation and hammy rear. Close to 1 just preferred 1’s outgoing positive nature.

3RD Stephenson Molloney Winnie Tergames at Wistex

Open Bitch (4,3)

1ST Thorn Andrews’ Drakesleat Too Gud to Be True What can I say, hands just flow over this girl with ease. Full of breed type. Lovely head and expression into a strong neck. Best of fronts, with correct length and angulation- giving good front reach. Well ribbed and super topline. Lovely hammy rear quarters with good drive. Moved round the ring with purpose, ease and really could keep going all day. Super tone and muscle throughout. My pleasure to aware BCC & BOB

2ND Stephenson Wistex Taking It Easy. Super tight coat and excellent texture. Not the front of 1, but good length of neck. Good hammy rear and drive. Not holding her topline on the move today.

3RD Grant Granhoward Patience

Veteran Bitch (1,1)

1ST Macfarlan Granhoward Lilly Lovely 7year old girl. She moved like a train and really showed some youngsters how it should be done. Super topline, lovely front assembly. Coat coming in but of a good texture. Good honest girl with a lovely shape and balance. BV

Special Beginners Bitch (2,1)

1ST Sieminski Dajean Surely A Vision Lovely shape, balance and type. Good coat. Moved away and back true, keeping a good topline. BSpB
