L/H – Thank you to the exhibitors for my entry & the sporting acceptance of my decisions. It is quite a considerable time since I judged this variety & I was impressed with the overall quality.

PD (1) 1 Garlick’s Ranglewood McNab, 10 months b/t with a good masculine head. Most beautiful front. Dark eye, prominent post sternum with good angulation. A little erratic at the rear at the moment & needs to tighten but a very nice prospect. BPD. JD (2) 1 Burke & Manston’s Bonavoir Double O Seven, 12 months red with a lovely outline stacked & on the move. Good head & eye. Prominent pro sternum. Nice angulation front & rear & moved soundly; 2 Hughes’ Rosann Bonnie Blue, again 12 months red who had a lovely head. Moved soundly but looks very immature at present. PGD (7) 1 Dare’s Darsoms Zamson, the make & shape of this dog was quite lovely with a classic outline. Well boned, well ribbed with a good reach of neck. Good angles all through. I liked him a lot. Lost out to his kennelmates as I would prefer a more refined head; 2 Metcalfe-Bilgin’s Metadale Moment Of Glory, this red had the most beautiful head & so well ribbed. He is all of a piece with good movement & pigmentation. Close up to 1; 3 Street’s Ranglewood Lawsonia. LD (7) 1 Dare & Guy’s Darsom’s Zimbro, lovely young dog who was a little out of coat but again the most lovely outline with good angles & so well put together. Nothing exaggerated & a beautiful head to complete the picture. Loved him. RCC; 2 Garlick’s Ranglewood Arashi, another very lovely dog & was nit picking here & very close to 1. Similar remarks to 1 & I felt he had a better lay of shoulder than 1 but was not quite as free flowing on the move but a beautiful dog. These two will probably change places on another day; 3 Paget & Carroll’s Bronia Big Bang at Marvale. OD (3) 1 Mitchell’s Ch Bronia Lotario, veteran dog in great bloom. Most beautiful head, front, ribbing & feet. Could not be denied the CC on the move; 2 Hutton’s Ch River Rumpus through Dachalune, 6 years b/t who is a very worthy champion & in great bloom. Well boned & angulated & all of a piece. Preferred head & reach of neck of 1; 3 Duchesne’s Darsomes Zane of Scandell.

PB (7) A lovely class at varying stages of development. 1 Geeson’s Abydachs One Night Only, 9 months red. So elegant & all of a piece. Lovely feet & ultra feminine head. Well ribbed in good coat & showed like a veteran. She moved round the ring as if she owned it. Another lovely prospect. BP & RBPIS; 2 McNaughton’s Cedarvoch Circe, similar remarks to 1 & another lovely bitch whom I am sure will change places another day with. She was elegant & moved very well but I felt that 1 had that little extra panache on the move; 3 Garlick’s Ranglewood Mistletoe. JB (4) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Atlanta, shaded red all of a piece with excellent front & feet. Excellent height to length ratio with good movement; 2 Chapman’s Melminds Miss Cilla Black, b/t, compact & well boned & a nice size. Dark eye, prominent pro sternum. I preferred the reach of neck of 1; 3 Hutton’s Dachalure Annysia. PGB (5) 1 Metcalfe-Bilgin’s Metadale Moment Of Pleasure, a very well put together bitch who scored in ribbing, bone & feet. Lovely head & size. Out of coat but gained her place on her conformation; 2 Garlick’s Ranglewood Laurel, ultra feminine bitch who was very sound on the move. Well put together & in good coat. Tended to fall away slightly at times; 3 Nightingale & Thomas’ Whartona Megan Mayhem at Rodina. LB (3) 1 Garlick’s Ranglewood Tempest; 2 Dare & Guy’s Dutsoms Zangel, two beautiful bitches which were difficult to separate. Both beautiful heads & front assembly. Both very well ribbed with good feet. I felt the 1 scored with a little more elegance on the move & a shade more length but I really liked them both; 3 Paskin’s Kindeacre Rita Ora. OB (7) A lovely class. 1 Dare’s ch. Swansford Nigelladora Darsoms. CC, BOB & BIS; 2 Metcalfe-Bilgin’s Metadale Midsummer Dream. RCC. Two beautiful bitches very similar in make up & shape. Beautiful angulation fore & aft. Both moved so well & were ultra feminine & classy with exquisite heads. The deciding factor was the 1 had a touch more reach of neck. Two bitches to be proud of; 3 Paget & Carroll’s Bronia No Peeping.
