Thank you to my two stewards who had worked hard all day without any real break to get through all the breeds in the ring before me. I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked but we managed to get through the entry and I enjoyed my time with your breed. Thank you for staying and for your entries.

SBD (3,0) 1 Bashas Delsaux Made It Jumbo Band BSBIB. Really liked this dog who was close up for higher awards. I loved his conical head and almond eye. Clean neck, well angulated and balanced in angles with pronounced pro sternum and good length of keel. Well ribbed back holding a very good topline. In great coat and condition. Really good bone and tight feet. Moved soundly holding his shape. Should have a great future. 2 O’Neill Ranglewood Finlaggan at Donnadach. Nicely moulded head of good shape with almond eye shape and good length to neck. Balanced in angles, well ribbed back with enough fore chest.  Amble bone and bunchy feet. Moved soundly. 3 Pages Giovanni Rude For Kokoadax (Imp Ltu)

VD (2,0) 1 Metcalfe-Bilgin Metadale Monteray Jack. Loved his head and eye, both of the correct shape. Clean, arched neck, well laid shoulder and enough length to upper arm. Well ribbed back to short loin with good top and underline. Oval in front with enough bone and tight feet. Would like a little less angle to croup. Moved soundly with good reach and drive holding his shape. In good coat.   BVIB. 2 Wedges Peverleigh Autumnal Louis at Dolans. Heavier all through but still balanced with good overall shape. Conical head shape with good underjaw. Good bone and tight feet. Well ribbed back with short loin and well-set tail. Feeling the long day on the move, I don’t blame him!

MPD (1,0) 1 Garlicks Ranglewood Christmas Star. What a little cracker. He’s right for his age and what a tidy package already. Typical in head with correct almond eye shape. Arched neck of good length, well laid shoulder and enough return of upper arm, will filled in front with good bone and bunchy feet. Well ribbed back, with short loin and angulated quarters. He was good in top and underline, moved true up and back and had reach and drive in profile holding his shape. A nice size with everything where it should be and an extra sparkle that gave him the edge. Will watch his future with interest. BPD and RDCC.

PD (1,0) 1 Paskins Kindeace Londons Calling. A lovely dog, dark almond eye and good in head. Ok in neck and balanced angles both in front and behind. Could have a little more ribbing and better underline. Liked his bone, tight feet and substance. He showed maturity in coat and on the move where he covered the ground well.

PGD (4,0) 1 O’Neill Ranglewood Pheonix at Donnadach. Good balance and overall outline. Ok head with good underjaw. Well-constructed with a good middle piece. Oval from the front, neat in elbow and just enough ribbing. Short loin, well angulated quarters which he used well on the move and held a nice shape. In good coat and condition. 2. Vincents Breezelyn Long Awaited by Gainscroft. Typey head, would like better shape to eye. Neck of good length, well laid shoulder and ok in upper arm. Well filled in front. A touch longer in the body than ideal. Good turn of stifle with width to first and second thigh. Good bone and neat feet. A touch narrow up and back but looked well in profile. In great coat. 3 Paskins Delsaux Life Goes On at Kindeace

LD (5,2) 1 Taylors Delsaux Across The Universe. An honest, well-made dog, nothing overdone. Good overall shape and balance. Had good body proportions and ground clearance. Strong head, good dark eye. Clean neck with good top and underline. Had the bone and neat feet. Moved soundly holding a nice shape. In good coat and condition. 2 Paskins Kindeace Hit The Road Jack JW. Another honest and well-made dog. Conical head shape, dark eye. Nothing to pick at for construction, just balanced with good overall shape and proportions. Well ribbed back, with good tail set. Sound and used himself well on the move. In good coat. 3 Pages Giovanni Rude For Kokoadax (Imp Ltu)

OD (3,0) 1 Roberts Ch Swansford Gabrieldor. A top-class dog, he has that rare combination of breed type, construction and movement and he was in fantastic coat and condition. A true Dachshund who cannot be overlooked. For me he was an easy winner here today and definitely the best Dachshund that I have judged to date. Was very pleased to award him the CC, BOB and pleased to see him win Group 2 under Dachshund expert Fran Mitchell. 2 Cross Breezelyn Long Way To Go To Loggeta. Liked his head and ok in eye. Clean neck, well laid shoulder and return of upper arm. A touch longer in the body but held his topline well. Good forechest and length to keel. Well angulated quarters. Good bone and bunchy feet. In good coat and condition. Sound and honest on the move but needed more enthusiasm. 3 Sloan Cedavoch Dark Magic

SBB (3,0) 1 Wests Delsaux Twenty Carat Golden For Kendalldax. Loved her head shape and almond eye. Good overall shape and proportions. Balanced with good angle front and rear. Well ribbed back with good depth to her. Clean top and underline. Sound and true up and back. Good bone and tight feet. In great coat and condition. 2 Heaps Ranglewood Katrine. Feminine head of good length and shape. Clean neck, with enough angulation in front and balanced behind. Well ribbed back, good in fore chest with enough bone and neat feet. A little sluggish moving today. In good coat. 3 Foley Loggeta Wynn Bymyles at Clavennae

VB (3,1) 1 Baileys Glasvey Double Trouble for Loggeta. A very feminine bitch all through. Very typical in head and eye. Neck of good length, well laid shoulder and upper arm of good length so her legs were well under her. Good bone and compact feet for her size. Well ribbed back with short loin. Well angulated quarters. Very good top and underline. Moved soundly and covered the ground easily in profile. In good coat and condition. Would like a little more of her but none the less a very good bitch. 2 Wedges Faulksfollie Miss Minaver at Dolans. Head of good length and shape with dark eye. Arched neck, balanced in angles both in front and rear. Well ribbed back, with good top and underline and compact loin. Held her shape on the move and used her self well at the end of a long day.

MPB (2,0) 1 Ryans Cavallibrook Ryhars Final Impression (IKC). Lots of quality here, she took my eye on the first go around and excited me more when I got her on the table. For me her classy head, almond eye shape and forehand are spot on and its not often you see a front as good as this. She was well ribbed back with short loin, pronounced forechest and length to keel. She had very good body proportions, an ideal overall shape and was balanced. She has enough angles behind with well set tail. Ideal bone and compact feet. On the move she was so true in front and had reach and drive in profile, holding the best of shapes.  In great coat and condition. Pleased to award her BPB, BPIB and RCC. She must have a bright future! 2 Richardsons Ranglewood Noelle. Really lovely in head and loved her almond eye and expression. Neck of good length, well laid shoulder, would like more fill in front and forechest. Well ribbed back to good quarters, good top and underline. Bunchy feet and enough bone for her size. Moved soundly but needed more enthusiasm.

PB (1,0) 1 Barnicott and Pascoes Fahoogle Minack. She presented with a good shape and overall proportions. Clean head, dark eye, good length of neck and balanced in angles. Well ribbed, short loin. Good ground clearance. Sound and held herself well. In good coat. Could do with more confidence on the table.

JB (3,0) 1 Roberts Swansford Padmeadora. Quality bitch and with an eye-catching shape both stood and on the move. Ideal proportions and a nice size. Feminine head but still with some strength and good underjaw. Arched neck into a good forehand. Pronounced prosternum and length to keel with that oval look to her in front. Well ribbed back to short loin and angulated quarters. Really good bone and tight, well-padded feet. On the move she covered the ground so well with reach and drive. In great coat and condition. Pleased to award her the CC.  2 Garlicks Ranglewood Andromeda. There was no disgracing this girl being second. Of different type to the winner but still meeting the standard so well. Loved her conical head and dark expressive eye. So well made, good fill in front, well ribbed back with excellent top and underline giving correct ground clearance. Totally balanced and sound up and back and using herself so well in profile. One to watch. 3 Sloans Delsaux Singer With The Band

PGB (3,2) 1 Negus Tarramist Starlight AI. Good overall shape and proportions. Would like better eye shape. Neck of good length, ok in shoulder and upper arm, could have more length to keel. Just enough ribbing with well held topline. Ample bone and neat feet. Moved parallel, in good coat and condition.

LB (5,3) 1 Negus Tarramist Platinum Aria AI. Typey head and correct eye shape and expression. Arched neck, balanced in angles, well ribbed back with good top and underline. Correct body proportions. Tidy bone and feet. Sound and looked well in profile. In good coat and condition.2 Metcalfe-Bilgis Metedale Merengue. Lots to like but a little unsettled today so wasn’t moving true and losing her shape on the move. She was good to go over and with good construction and ideal body proportions. Well ribbed with short loin. Dropped down well in front with enough ground clearance. Would like to see her when more settled. In great coat. 3 Lumley Swansford Diadora
