SMOOTH HAIRED

JD. (2). 1. Jones’s, Adnerbs Mystification. B/t. Nice head and correct eye, mouth just enough. Good front and clean legs. Good tight shoulders and good quarters. Good mover to and fro.

PGD. (4). 1. Melbourne’s, Sunhaze St John of Melriding. Red, good head and front. Nice level topline which was kept on the move. Good round quarters. Very sound dog. 2. Hunt’s, D’arisca Class Distinction at Carpaccio. JW. Choc and tan. Good head and eye, good ear carriage. Plenty of bone but not exaggerated. I thought this was my winner but lost it on movement. 3. Hey’s, Quiske Notable Exception.

LD. (5). 1. Hall’s, Batendach Hitch-Hiker. B/t. Good head and eye, good ear carriage. Plenty of bone. Nice quality all through. Good mover and very sound. Very nice underline and kept a super topline on the move. 2. Norris’s, Criscan Fanagle. B/t. A bit heavier than the winner but very sound. Good eye and head. Nice tight shoulders. Good front and nice flowing underline. Not cut up at all. 3. Hey’s, Quiske Classic Impact.

OD. (3). 1. Hosegood’s, Lauralee Tiger Woods T’s off at Hydax. B/t. The best front of the whole lot. Lovely head and small eye. Super quarters. A very workmanlike dog. Not glamourous but so very sound. His movement is all I could ask for. The angulation in quarters was superb. No paddling here. CC and BOB. Lovely to see him pulled in the Group. The only Dachshunds to be so. I’m told he got his third CC the day after so many congratulations. I was most surprised to learn it was the owners first ever Champion and that made it all the more special. Well done.

PB. (2). 1. Hinwood and Little’s, Longmel Double Truffle. A very elegant bitch. Beautiful head and eye. Good clean legs. No wrinkle. Good quarters and a super mover.

JB. (3). 1. Punter’s, Welcumen Kiss ‘n’ Tell. A very elegant bitch. Lovely front. Good head with nice ears and oblique eye. Good length of neck into good shoulders. Super mover. Good quality. 2. Hunt’s, Carpaccio Tanzanite. Another really nice bitch. Again standing I thought this is my ticket winner. She looked great. Super head and eye. Good rounded quarters, but she lost it on hind action. 3. Davies’s, Bonavior Queen Bee.

PGB. (6). 1. Kerry’s, Kireton Betsy Belle. A lovely bitch. Super front. Tight shoulders. Good round quarters. I liked this one very much. RCC. 2. Davis’s, Lauralee Temptation. Another super bitch of this prefix. Good head and eye. Lovely length of neck into good shoulders. Good topline and good round quarters. Not as good hind action as the winner. 3. Goad’s, Rosanport Play Me.

LB. (5). 1. Adams’, Rosanport Cracklin Rosie. A lovely bitch just what I had been looking for. Good head and eye. Most appealing head. Plenty of bone but not to much. This was the type I like in a bitch. Quality, elegant but not at the expense of confirmation. I loved her. CC. 2. Armstrong’s, Lauralee Theme for a Dream. Another super bitch. I just say there are some really lovely bitches and no doubt they will all change places another time. Great head, good quarters. Super front and clean legs and feet. A little erratic going from me. 3. Kerry’s, Rosanport September Morn at Kireton.

OB. (2). 1. Armstrong’s, Lauralee Inspiration. B/t. Nice front and topline. Vert sound mover, which she kept on the move. Good shoulders and ribbing well back. There was just a little ‘if’ but apart from that she is lovely. Both my CC winners it was their second CC and I was pleased about that as I must admit they were all new to me so it was very interesting. I found the quality of the bitches much better that the dogs. Don;t let elegance replace the substance. You can have both if bred correctly.
