SMOOTH HAIRED

MPD (9). 1 McNaughton’s Cedavoch Galadrim, B/T. V well made with such good bone and lovely thick padded feet. Pleasing head and eye. Good forechest and so well ribbed, so is v pleasing to go over. Touch more neck would add extra elegance to his outline. He stepped out well to win this good class; 2 Mitchell’s Rosenket Harvest Moon. Liked this Chocolate/T a great deal. He had the lovely outline and extra neck I so admire. Quality head and again well made with good forechest and ribs, not quite the substance or movement which cost him the class; 3 Eales and Tite’s Lauralee The X Factor. PD (1). 1 Joy’s Rosenket Hot Property With Monailsa. This Choc/T came up from fourth in MP. Has a touch of quality about him, but I felt big enough for 7 mths. Well boned but needs better feet and turns them out a touch on the stack. JD (3). 1 Hunt’s Canpaccio Black Sabbath. Immaculately presented B/T, he even smells gd! Judged him before and liked him then, maturing nicely and built on the right liens. Excellent movement assured him the class; 2 Eales and Tite’s Lauralee Role Of Honour Via Rijobeau. Quality red with a lovely head. Good forechest and topline, well balanced and a good front, too proud of his tail and hind movement is erractic. PGD (4). 1 Wolage Matzell Milord. V honest handsome B/T, solid and substantial, masculine although with good head and eye. Excellent ribbing, is absolute soundness won him this class; 2 Dent’s Lauralee Dylan Thomas Von Dachstein. Another quality B/T. Liked him a great deal too, lovely to go over and v sound, well made, good front and quarters, good showman, tail carriage can spoil his outline going round; 3 Goad’s Rosanport The Illusionist. L (3). All reds. 1 Melbourne’s Sunhaze St John Of Melriding. Touch of quality about him, pleasing head, firm topline, good to go voer and has lovely bone, feet and pigment. Coat presentation could be dusted up a bit, soundest in the class; 2 Wolage’s Matzell Moritz. Apart from head type this solid d was similar to winner, well ribbed up and well balanced, not quite the movement of the winner; 3 Stanton’s Hampdach Hot Topic. OD (4). Good class. 1 Cooper’s Sontag Simon Le Bone.Wow! couldn’t take my eyes off this fabulous B/T. Loved everything about him. Superb head and eye, crested neck, excellent shoulders and forechest, super legs and feet, excellent rib and topline and strong quarters. Shown in fabulous condition. He never pt a foot wrong today. With his total elegance and arrogance he put me in mind greatly of some of the fabulous Rhinefields Of Yesteryear. Thank you for bringing him, it made my day. CC and BOB. So pleased to watch him win a well deserved BIS later in the day. V well done; 2 Norton’s CH Matzell Mateus. Totally different type to winner but a v worthy Champion in his own right. This red was in lovely hard condtion and is so v sound in every way. Lovely to go over as he is so well constructed. Excellent mover. Only personal preferences kept him from the top spot. Well deserved his RCC; 3 McNaughton’s CH Aust CH Nicholyev The Hobbit (IMP). MPB (5). 1 Bethel’s Hampdach Alinga. High quality, v elegant clear red, just my cup of tea (Ringtons). Beautiful head and lovely dark eye. Long elegant neck, lovely front but feet could be just a touch tighter, super ribbing and topline, so well let down behind. She too was in gleaming condition &she is so sound, going and coming and uses herself to full advantage going round. Despite her tender age I had no hesitation in awarding her the CC and BP. She looked fabulous going round with the handsome d CC winner; 2 Melbourne’s Lauralea Take That To Melriding. Another lovely p, this time a B/T. Lovely head and eye. Crested neck, immaculate front and feet, so correct and lovely to go over on the table, being so well ribbed and a super topline, just a little erratic behind at the moment. If this improves, just watch out; 3 Turner’s Marictur Uptown Madam. PB (1). 1 Lovick-Gibbs Roleta Remember When. B/T at her first show, a little apprehensive at first but settled well. V nice type, pretty head on decent neck and v good outline, sound but would like tighter feet. Everything there, just needs to get it together. JB (2). 1 Dunseith’s Dubreys Pride Of Our Alley. V nice red and a spanking mover despite having quite poor feet. Typy head if a touch strong. Ribs a little too deep and too short which gives her a severe tuck up, good topline and uses herself well. YB (2). 1 Rawson’s Churchoat Hot Gossip About Rosenket. Classy outline on this chocolate and tan. Pleasing head on good neck, lovely front and forechest, good bone and feet, little wrinkle on legs, so well ribbed and a strong topline. V sound on the move. Shown in lovely condition and has a happy temperament; 2 Dalgety’s Thunder Gay Surely Charmed. This chocolate and tan was carrying far too much weight today which made her loaded in shoulders, good outline overall on the stack with a strong topline. Going close behind today. PGB (5). 1 Hinwood and Little’s Longmel Double Truffle. Quality B/T, so well pigmented. Beautiful head and eye, crested neck, lovely shoulders front and feet, good forechest and ribbing, well bodied and absolutely sound. V smart on the move, excelled going round. V nice b; 2 Lovick-Gibbs’s Roleta Indulgence. I thought this quality chocolate and tan was about to throw away her chances by her behaviour on the table, just would not let me handle her at first, liked her a lot so gave her a second chance, lovely to go over being so well constructed. Super mover and holds her lovely outline going round. Please persevere with her, she is worth it; 3 Rawson and Walkley’s Churchoak Chit Chat With Rosenket. LB (9). 1 Norton’s Matzell Melua. Litter sister to PGD winner and his feminine counterpart, ultra sound, solid B/T carrying herself v well and the more she goes the better she gets. Lovely bone and feet, so well made with good forechest and excellent ribbing, well bodied and in excellent condition. She is typical of the good Dachsunds this Kennel shows; 2 Rawson’s Laurtom First Edition from Sunhaze. V nice chocolate and tan, feet not her fortune. Nice head and eye &, like all the Rosenkets, well made and pleasing to go over. Lovely condition; 3 Goad’s Rosenport Play Me. OB (5). Good class. 1 Turner’s CH Marictur Miss Midnight. V pretty, v feminine and v correct B/T. Pretty head, eye a touch bold, but this is minimal. V well balanced, good neck, sound front and rear. I really liked her to go over, so well ribbed and just the right amount of weight. Movement going and coming is excellent, but it is going round where she scores so heavily, so elegant and has fabulous carriage. Shown in gleaming condition and is a happy showgirl. Unlucky to meet the stunning p. Well deserved her RCC; 2 McNaughton’s Cedavoc Aarwen. This red was a disappointment today, just didn’t cope with the floor at all. One I have seen and admired before, completely different in every way to winner but she is a good Dachshund, so well constructed and balanced. Good neck, excellent front and super feet. Although I would prefer less wrinkle, lovely to go over. She is sound &can be showy if she wants to be, but not today, great pity; 3 Dalgety’s CH Thundergay Lady Be Good. Vet (10). 1 Geeson’s CH Abydachs Give Me The Future. Never seen this elegant Longhaired B/T look or go better. Lovely head, eye could be a touch darker. Super neck and stunning outline, so v sound and in immaculate coat and condition. Outstanding here; 2 Mee’s Barlaines By My Valentine. V dark B/T min long, lovely coat and condition. Pretty head. Sound solid body and super movement; 3 Turner’s CH Marictur Marnie.
