SMOOTH HAIRED:

PD. (4). 1. McNaughton’s, Cedavoch Galadrim. Very smart black and tan my star of the day. Very elegant dog with masculine head without any coarseness. Well arched neck, correct shoulders. Well sprung ribs. Well angulated hindquarters which gave thrust on the move. Moved with verve keeping an excellent outline at all times. Well handled to get the best out of him. Pleased to award him CC, BOB and BP. Congratulations. 2. Walkley’s, Churchoak Cardinalsin. Chocolate and tan. Very promising baby. Immature up against winner. Masculine head. Nice reachy neck. Moved out well keeping a pleasing outlne. 3. Dalbety’s, Thundergay Archduke.

PGD. (2). 1. Dent’s, Lauralee Dylan Thomas von Dachstein. A smart black and tan. Smaller type to second. Scores well in all departments. Pleasing outline. Moved out well. 2. Oxley’s, Lauralee the Real Thing at Owlery. Larger built black and tan. Masculine head, well arched neck. Moved out well but was rather wide coming towards me. More weight might finish the picture.

LD. (1). 1. Girven’s, Marictur Mansfield. Thought he could possibly be my CC winner, but was not co-operative on the table as he tended to back off. Masculine head, well arched neck, well sprung ribs. Moved away ok but tends to lose his front when coming towards you.

OD. (3). 1. Cooper’s, Sontag Simon Le Bone JW. Very smart black and tan. Masculine head, correct almond eyes. Well arched neck, correct shoulder. Well sprung ribs. Moved with style and purpose. Sympathetically handled to get the best out of him. Pleased to award him RCC. 2. Lusk’s, Ch. Cedevoch Celebdil. Black and tan. Different type to winner. Scores well in all departments but I preferred the front movement and extension of winner. 3. Melbourne’s, Sunhaze St John of Melriding.

PB. (4). 1. Dalgety’s, Thundergay Magdalena. Very difficult class to judge as all 4 exhibits were totally different, some were good in front, where as others were short in keel. Some moved ok in front and not behind. Some had better toplines than others I am sure they will change places on different occasions. 2. Turner’s, Marictur Uptown Madam. 3. Melburne’s, Lauralee Take That to Melriding.

JB. (1). 1. Bethel’s, Hampdach Alinga. Eyecatching red. Needed time to settle to be able to assess her properly. Pretty head and expression. Well arched neck, correct well filled front that has improved with age. Correct well placed shoulders. Well sprung ribs. Moved out well keeping a pleasing outline. Pleased to award her the CC.

PGB. (2). Two bitches of very different types. 1. Dunseith’s, Dubrey’s Pride of Our Alley at Hoohah. Red of pleasing type. Nice head and expression. Moved and showed well keeping a good outline at all times. 2. Rawson and Walkley’s, Churchoak Chit Chat with Rosenket. B/t of larger type to winner. Carrying far too much weight which spoilt her sweet head and expression. Lacked sparkle on the move as she was not at one with the handler.

LB. (2). 1. Rawson and Walkley’s, Churchoak Hot Gossip about Rosenket. Chocolate and tan litter sister to second on PG. Again far too fat which spoilt her. Similar remarks as sister, Moved ok to win this class. 2. McNaughton’s, Cedavoch Integrity. Black and tan. Not in the best of condition. Tended to lose her outline on the move.

OB. (3). Again another class of 2 different types. 1. McNaughton’s, Cedavoch Aarwen. Red pleasing head and neck. Nice front. Moved and showed well but for me I would like less wrinkle to finish the picture. Pleased to award her RCC. 2. Dalgety’s, Ch. Thundergay Lady Be Good. Black and tan. Larger type to winner. On the day she lacked the sparkle and style she normally has and tended to lose her outline on the move, obviously she did not like being in the tent.
