Class 362 VB NO ENTRIES

Many thanks to the exhibitors for giving me a good entry at a show that doesn’t usually attract these numbers. A real mixed bag in terms of types entered ranging from too low with minimal ground clearance to the much taller more FCI type. It’s good to see so many different bloodlines coming into the country which can only be good for the breed but exhibitors need to look carefully at the UK Breed Standard to try and import dogs that match that if they wish to show them and gain high honours. Some of the imports here today have a great deal to offer the breed and impressed greatly. I was looking for a balanced dog with confident free flowing movement. I was delighted to find this in my main winners.

Puppy Dog – 1 Entry

  1. Williams & Moes’ Cwmdarhian San Andreas – 10m red of excellent type, elegant head held on lengthy neck. Excellent forechest but would like slightly more layback of shoulder. Excellent rear angulation which he used to move very well. True coming and going and good profile movement. BPIB

Junior Dog – 1 Entry

  1. Yates’ Weto Tulis Manore (IMP) – Dark red of a continental type with a lovely head and neck, well angulated at both ends. Very deep in chest with too much cut up for me underneath. Moved well when settled.

Post Graduate Dog – 3 Entries

  1. McNaughton’s Carper A G Von Nordor (IMP) – Really lovely deep red with a beautiful head and neck, excellent shoulders and correct rear angulation. Moved very well showing parallel action at both ends with good reach and drive in profile. Very close to top honours, when he fully settles in the ring I’m sure he will be hard to beat. Loved him. RCC

  1. Hunt’s Carpaccio Trouble In Store – Heavier B/T dog with a lovely classical head, strong neck leading into good shoulders. A bit deep in chest and through his body for me. Not moving well today.

  1. Kay’s Furore Di Turboland at Lochlip

Limit Dog – 4 entries (1 absent)

  1. Maskell’s Clentry Monster Mash at Brownbank ShCM – Good head and strong neck on this smart dog who moved soundly and with good reach and drive. Expertly handled to get the most out of him. Preferred his better ground clearance to 2nd

  1. Gatheral-Graham’s Phaeland Seal The Deal – B/T who is too low to ground for me, excellent head and neck, moved soundly.

  1. Yates’ Weto Tulis Manore (IMP)

Open Dog – 5 Entries (1 absent)

  1. Tite’s Phaeland Special Driver at Rijobeau – 2yr old red dog of a super type and putting everything he had into his job today. Lovely head and neck, good shoulders leading into a correct top and underline. Lengthy ribbing and short strong loin. Good rear which he used so well on the move. His outgoing temperament just added to his appeal. CC, BOB and shortlisted in a strong group.

  1. Andison & Peel’s Shardaroba’s Indian Wedding – Excellent head and neck, adequate layback to shoulder but didn’t have the length of upper arm I like. Good ribbing and short loin. Moved soundly.

  1. McNaughton’s Cedavoch Sanquhar

Puppy Bitch – 4 Entries (1 absent)

  1. Williams & Moes’ Cwmdarhian Hotoff The Press – 10m red bitch of excellent type, so like her litter brother who won PD. Excellent head, lengthy neck, good shoulders, excellent ribbing. Moved soundly showing good reach and drive. Preferred her rear angulation to 2. RCC

  1. Hunt’s Lauralee Miss Marple at Carpaccio – Quality B/T, classical head and good length of neck, well angulated shoulders, good top and underline. Moved soundly just preferred the drive of 1.

  1. Playfair’s Little Miss Dynamic

Junior Bitch – 3 Entries

  1. Kay’s Grainne Lannister at Lochlip (IMP) – B/T with an excellent head and good length of neck. Excellent ribbing and correct ground clearance. Moved out well but I’m sure could make more of herself.

  1. Andison & Peel’s Clentry Tattie Scon – Red who is a bit too low to ground for me, good length of neck leading into well angulated shoulders. Good length of ribbing. Balanced rear angulation. Slightly high set tail. Moved well when settled.

  1. Playfair’s Demorgan Secret

Post Graduate Bitch – 2 Entries

  1. Gatheral-Graham’s Phaeland Society Dancer – Litter sister to DCC and similar marks apply. She isn’t a small girl but very well put together. Excellent head and neck, correctly angulated shoulders, excellent length of ribbing and balanced rear angulation. Carrying a little too much weight but this didn’t detract from what a quality bitch she is. Moved soundly showing good reach and drive. Good temperament which coped with having several different handlers move her. Couldn’t be denied the CC today.

  1. Kay’s Olympia Di Turboland at Lochlip – Smaller red of a more compact type. Would prefer less stop, good neck and front assembly. Moved well. Good temperament.

Limit Bitch – 4 Entries (2 absent)

  1. Andison & Peel’s Shardaroba’s In Dream – Excellent head and neck, good shoulder angulation. Better ground clearance than 2. Good length of ribbing with correct top and underline. Moved soundly showing better drive than 2.

  1. Rodger’s Thundergay Delta Dawn – B/T carrying a bit too much weight, a bit low to ground for me. Good head, strong neck, excellent length of ribbing. Moved soundly.

Open Bitch – 6 Entries (3 absent)

  1. Williams & Moes’ Hampdach Merinda – Red bitch who is a little too low to ground for me but won this class on her overall construction. Good head and length of neck. Excellent shoulder angulation. Rood ribbing and well angulated rear. Good reach and drive but moved a little wide behind at times.

  1. Cunningham’s IR CH Sontag Say The Word for Celandine – Taller type with better ground clearance than 1, excellent head and neck, correct layback of shoulder but lacked upper arm which restricted her reach in front on the move. Excellent ribbing and good rear angulation. Moved soundly.

  1. Rodger’s CH Thundergay Bebop A Lula
