Thank you to the committee for the kind invitation to judge and to my stewards for the day.

Also thank you to exhibitors for their entry.

Veteran D/B (3,2)

1st – Norton – Ch. Matzell Minella – BV

Stood alone but worthy of her place. I gave this very elegant red girl her 2nd CC from LB 5 years ago and she has lost none of what made her stand out before. With a beautiful feminine head, she is balanced throughout with good angulation fore and aft. Correct keel coming well back. Moved true coming and going but could perhaps step out a little more in profile.

Puppy Dog (2,0)

1st McNaughton – Cedavoch Struuann - CC, BoB, BP, BIS & BPIS

All male and full of quality. Super bone and correct angulation fore and aft. Moved very true with plenty of reach.  In superb condition. At this tender age can only get better as everything is there and maturing nicely. Was delighted to see him go best in show and best puppy in show and I am sure he will have a sparkling future.

2nd Starkey – Carpaccio Magnum PI at Hamoura

Correct masculine head and eye shape with strong underjaw. Not quite settled in the hall and was a little anxious. Would like a little more covering on him, but at a difficult age at the moment.

Junior Dog (2,1)

1st Hunt – Pelirroja Joined Forces with Carpaccio

Pleasing red of correct size. Still needing to drop down into shape. Lovely oval front. Feet well padded with enough bone. Moved well.

Post Graduate Dog (No Entries)

Limit Dog (6,0)

1st Chauhan – Raajput’s Blacky Returns – RCC

Black and tan, very masculine with correct head with good bone. Well balanced, loin could be stronger. Moved well in all directions although a little fast.

2nd Playfair – Kaimknowe Ansas

A dog I really liked when I first judged him as a youngster. All male with good bone and well padded and knuckled feet. A little high at hock and would have liked a tad more development to his forechest. In good hard condition and very well handled. Unfortunate to meet 1st today.

3rd MacDonald – Bensarka Limerick

Open Dog (2,0)

1st Hunt – Ch Lauralee Huckleberry Finn at Carpaccio

2nd Reynolds – Cwmdarhian San Domenico

Two red males. Preferred the breed type of 1st, and have previously awarded him a CC.  Underline on 2nd cut up a little too much. Both had good front assembly but preferred the feet and bone on 1st. Tail set on 1st a little high. 1st moved better in all directions with power and balance.

Puppy Bitch (2,0)

1st Andison & Peel – Cedavoch Argentine Tango – RCC

Beautifully shaped puppy of lovely size. Correct bone, very pretty but correct head and super expression. Had a happy disposition. As would be expected at this age, all needs to settle but everything is there in place and must be an exciting prospect.

2nd Hunt – Carpaccio Silver Dollar

A dapple who was a little on the leg for me, throwing her balance out. Not very settled so movement a little erratic. Front assembly okay. Unfortunate to come up against 1st today.

Junior Bitch (2,1)

1st Andison & Peel – Clentry Little Me

A very pleasing red brindle who was seriously considered for the RCC. Correct size, feminine with lovely expression. Exactly at the stage she should be for her age. Correct topline with good underline and long keel, with ribbing carried well back.  Correct matching angulation and moved very well in all directions. Very promising. Well handled.

Post Graduate Bitch (4,0)

1st Playfair – Kaimknowe Capella

Not the strongest of classes but winner deserved her place. Correct size with good head and feminine expression. Correct top and underline with sufficient bone. Angulation correct and balanced both ends. Best mover in this class.

2nd Stark – Adnerbs Won Vision of Gobannium JW

Quality feminine head of correct shape. Could reach more in front on the move as upper arm is a little short and steep. Correct size. Well handled.

3rd Boss & Balfour – Clentry Mickey Mania

Limit Bitch (4,1)

1st Chauhan – Adnerb Forever Charmed at Raajput

Quality head with good eye shape. Well angulated front and okay behind. Good bone and substance. Good muscle behind which she used to her advantage as she was the best mover in this class.

2nd Tomlinson – Bensarka Emerald Isle to Melisdax

A little on the chunky side but a lovely shape. Pretty head. Topline and underline good. Angulation balanced. Moved okay.

3rd Norton – Matzell Martinella

Open Bitch (5,2)

1st Chauhan – Adnerbs Take A Chance On Me at Raajput – CC

A bitch of nice size. Head very quality with feminine expression. Balanced angulation fore and aft. Good topline and underline with long keel. Stacked a little too stretched but very true mover although would benefit from being moved slower.

2nd Norton – Ch. Matzell Martha

Beautiful head of excellent breed type and very much the type this kennel produces. Very good shape all round. Pleasing size. Tail set a little high. Moved well but just unfortunate to meet 1st who was on form today.

3rd Rodger – Cedavoch Sophisticate at Thundergay
