WIREHAIRED

I apologise to all for the delay in submitting my report. I was disappointed at the lack of competition from the small entry and I could only find about half a dozen first class dogs worthy of the top places. Many dogs had much less forechest than I am used to, often combined with a short keel and rib length which in turn leads to a proportionately long loin loosing support for the lower spine. The wire coats were generally of good texture but there was considerable variation in the furnishings.

PD(1) 1 Knowles’ Cishelvine Swel N Special. One with short ribs, but nice to see a young dog with such a happy temperament on the table and on the move.

JD(3) 1 Surrell &Coleman’s Bokra Tobasco. Sturdily built and well furnished, moved purposefully. RCC. 2 Hunt’s Norrisca Yellow Diamond. Longer cast than first and not quite as steady on the move. 3 Clifford’s Ablebody Razzmatazz. PGD(2) 1 Bates &Maes-Jones’ Derochaise Mutineer. Deep chest but with short keel, moved truly. 2 Coverley’s Aventine Tropic Thunder. Better proportioned than first, but lacked drive on the move.

LD(1) 1 Rowe’s Boloria Calico Jack. Favoured one front leg on the move.

OD(1) 1 Moore &Coverley’s Ch Ex Sentia I’m James Bond (Imp). Balaced construction, good coat and super feet, moved as befits his status. CC and BOB.

V (1) 1 Baxter’s Lankelly Timothy Grass At Kharmina. Lighter bone than many and unsteady on back legs.

PB(3, 1) 1 Squire’s Silver Sixpence. Excellent ribs and keel, gay tail carriage, showed strong movement behind. BP and RCC. 2 Scott’s Yallambee Elf. Sturdily built but not the ribbing or movement of first.

JB(2, 1) 1 Rowe’s Boloria Anisia Bella. Quite light bone but moved with great drive.

PGB(4, 1) 1 Barrett’s Ablebody Pulcinella. Nicely balanced construction showing well on the table, but unfortunately not as relaxed with her runner on the move. 2 Gibson’s Allfreys Starduster. A little shorter and taller than first but moved with drive. 3 Ferguson’s Teaselwood Tea Rose.

LB(4, 3) 1 Clifford’s Ritlo Return To Sender With Ablebody. Overall smaller than many but well boned and moved very well despite sneaking some extra food on the way in.

OB(6, 1) 1 Gibson’s Allfreys Grace Kelly. Lovely mature outline with strong, true movement. CC. 2 Bates &Maes-Jones’ Ch Derochaise Black Orchid. A worthy champion but just edged out by first. 3 Moore’s Molloney Ann Other At Romanchi.
