I enjoyed the entry despite being under par after a virus. The temperament
of the wires can always cheer me up. Many thanks to my stewards.
MPD (2, 1) 1 Langridge's Calicoe Thank God It's Friday. 6 mths raw youngster
who needs time to fill out generally. He moved well with a strong topline.
He has good bone.
PD (3) 1 McPherson & Paterson's Brumberhill Mr Wilks. 9 mths, quality puppy
who is well made and well ribbed, very good head and eye, moved well,
holding his shape. BP. 2 Graham's Brumberhill Armstrong. 11 mths, good
coated dark brindle who carries his topline well, not the bone or front
assembly of the winner. 3 Langridge's Calicoe Thank God It's Friday.
JD (3) 1 Maes-Jones & Bates' Derochaise Manhatton. 15 mths black/tan who won
this class for balance, ribbing and coat, could use more upper arm but he
has excellent bone and feet and a good head. 2 Fitches' Derochaise Master
Design. 17 mths, heavier dog who is a little too deep in body for my taste,
he has good coat and is well ribbed. 3 Norman's SIlvae Trade Name.
PGD (4, 1) 1 Adams' Wyldetarn Shoot From The Hip JW. 20 mths, good coated
dog who pleased me a lot for his proportions, good head and eye, he has a
very good rear and topline, front assembly a little forward placed. Moves
with good drive. Tail a little high. 2 Dean's Brontillow Gallant Stuart. 18
mths, beautifully coated dog with excellent bone and feet, not the upper arm
or forechest of the winner. A darker eye would enhance his expression. 3
Warren's Waggington Manhatten Of Wagsford.
LD (10, 2) Good class. 1 Maes-Jones & Bates' Derochaise Versace JW. 2 yr old
who appealed greatly for his size and proportions and he has the most
beautiful head and eye and a very good coat, he has sufficient forechest but
a little more upper arm would benefit him. He is a lovely dog who pressed
hard in the challenge. 2 Wharton's Greyhayne Hooray Henry. 19 mths, appealed
also for size and proportions and he has a touch more ground clearance than
the winner but couldn't match him in front action or eye. 3 Gibson's
Allfreys London Look.
OD (6) 1 Norman's Silvae Klansman. Took my eye immediately and I found
nothing to detract on handling him and he gave a foot perfect stylish
performance with excellent carriage, in good coat, CC, his second and BOB. 2
Phillips' Ch Wiretap Here I Am (Imp Can). 4 yrs old red with a beautiful
head and coat, well ribbed back with good topline held on the move, a little
overdone in keel for me and not the movement of the winner but I like him a
lot. Res CC. 3 Vine's Derochaise Justified For Cishelvine.
MPB (3, 1) 1 Jeffrey's Slaintemhath Fish's Fugazi. Almost 9 mths with lovely
coat, head and front movement, she can firm up in topline but her movement
and performance won her the class today. 2 Vine's CIshelvine Kiss Me Quick.
8 mths red brindle, lovely to go over but a little demon on the floor and
gave her handler a hard time, with some schooling she can do very well, made
me smile but must have been very frustrating for her sporting owner.
JB (7, 1) 1 McCalmont's Silvae Trade Secret. 14 mths top sized bitch but
beautifully made with good ground clearance and excellent movement, good
head and eye. 2 Gibson's Allfreys Helena. 14 mths, lovely for size and
balance and full of type, she pressed the winner hard, just carrying a
little too much weight today which detracted from her movement and made her
look a little too low to ground. 3 Hornby's Derochaise Miss Dior With
Jacmist.
PGB (7, 2) 1 Pughe & Fraser's Ambiesque Ascertain At Bystock. 19 mths,
beautifully coated brindle who moves very well, if a little proud of her
tail, maximum length but she is well ribbed back, scored in length of
sternum in a close decision. 2 Prior Cooper's Silvae Keynote. Another
quality bitch I liked her size, balance and forechest and a quality head,
presented in very good coat and condition, good rear and topline. 3
Phillips' Cloudside Quintessence At Clipperdown.
LB (9, 2) 1 Paterson's Ambiesque Aperitif. Quality 2 yr old with lovely
coat, topline and of the size I prefer, just a trifle deep for perfect
balance, she went well and won CC, her second, scored in head here. 2
McCalmont's Silvae Trademark. Longer bitch with good ground clearance and
excellent movement, she is ribbed well back, looks a teenager and can finish
in head yet. 3 Arthur's Tendrow I Am Legend With Elderkine.
OB (5, 2) 1 McCalmont's Silvae Kizmet. Won this class easily for size, coat,
ribbing and underline. I liked her size and proportions, good head and eye,
I'd prefer a little more forechest and stronger feet. 2 McPherson &
Paterson's Brumberhill Bellissima ShCM. 4 yr old bitch from a bigger mould,
a little cut up in underline, sound mover with good topline, not the coat of
the winner. 3 Binks' Cishelvine Just This Once.
VB (2) 1 Maes-Jones & Bates' Ch Derochaise Black Orchid. 10 yr old in
remarkable form and very good mover at both ends, a beautiful head and eye,
she pressed hard for the CC where the limit winner scored on the day in
coat. Won Res CC and I was delighted to hear I had given her a first Res CC
at Crufts 8 yrs ago, she has retained all of her beauty. 2 Coverley's Ch/Ir
Ch Aventine Shaken Not Stirred. 8 yrs old who gave the winner a run for her
money as she too is a high class bitch, excels in size, proportions and
coat, full of type, not moving as well in rear as the winner on the day.
