West of England Dachshund Club 2002

BEST IN SHOW
It was an honour to judge Best in Show at this well organised event. Beautiful countryside, a bright, clean hall, a very happy atmosphere plus some very nice dogs, what more could you ask for?
The BOB Miniature Smooth, Ch Siouxline Angelina, was unable to compete, as I had handled her at Dorset Top Dog last November, so she did a lap of honour.
Best in Show went to the Longhaired Mitchell's Metadale Moment of Truth at Bronia. A very feminine, lovely youngster who will soon gain her crown. She was very well presented as always from this exhibitor, and just flowed round the ring. She is sired by the famous Conquistador.
Res BIS was a very nice Wirehaired, Pughe & Fraseer's Bystock African Queen who, I believe, was made up on the day. She is so well balanced, a verygood mover and pressed the winner very close. I also see she is another excellent Wire descended from the American import.
BP was the Min Smooth D'Arisca Cut a Dash, this is a little cracker, and again, so well balanced. I liked everything about him and I am sure he has a great future ahead.
Res BP was a
Smooth, Turner's Meganhol apocalypse Now Rafthouse. A very regal young lady, she
moved so well, with a lovely head carriage.
