Scottish Dachshund Club 2004

BEST IN SHOW
Championship Show: Many thanks for asking me to judge BIS. I have always had a soft spot for this breed club for over 50 years now. BIS was Robert’s, Long Haired, Swansford Henrikador. Red in super coat. Big enough which gave the correct underline. Good bone and nice round quarters. Moved well and free. RBIS was Blackburn’s, Stargang Mickey Finn. Mini Wire Haired. He is by a dog which I always liked. Good reathering on face. Good wire coat and undercoat. Plenty of bone and good quarters. These two really stood out in the lin up. BPIS was Turner’s, Rafthouse Tallulah. Red Mini Long, and was well ahead in this line up. Lovely head, good eye. I find too much stop of foreface in all Dachshunds not, but this one is lovely. Coat just enough and correct, and it moves like a train. RBPIS was Geeson’s, Abydachs Dare to Dream. Long Haired. Red bitch, nice size. Hope she doesn’t grow any more. Good coat and nice feathering. Good front. It was strange to find that all the puppies were bitches. BVIS was certainly the oldest, Fultons’, Ch. Bothlyn MasterCraftsman. Nearly 12 years old a great dog in his youth.
