Championship Show: My thanks to the officers and committee for asking me to be their BIS judge at this well run show. I enjoyed my day with you all and was impressed with your hospitality. The disappointing part of the day was realising how the standard of the exhibits has fallen, especially in the Miniatures. There used to be classes full of real quality now it’s difficult to find a few good ones. BIS was Roberts’, Ch. Swansford Vibadora. A quality bitch from this kennel. Correct coat, very nice head and eye. Good conformation. Liked the fact that she was the correct size for a Standard long. Moved true coming and going. Pleased to give her this award. RBIS was Plevin’s, Abitibi Dolly Mixture. A Standard long haired from the veteran class. At the age of nearly 12 she could be an example to many breeders. Although a little on the large size and a coat which was a little frizzy on the sides. Her mouth was perfect with clean teeth. The outstanding plus was her very well laid back shoulders and correct length of ribbing and loin. She also had a good hind movement showing her pads as she went away. BPIS was Mitchell’s, Bronia Carmelita. This puppy was only just over 6 months and showing great promise. Again a standard long from a well known kennel. Good head and eye correct conformation. Nice feet. Coat as it should be. Well shown and handled just a fraction on the close side when going away but I would hope this will improve with age as she is such a baby. RBPIS was Colley and Buchans’, Stainesacre the Riddler. Miniature long haired dog puppy. Older than the winner and not the overall quality. Needs to body up otherwise not a lot wrong with his conformation. Not driving from this hind action when going away which seems to be the normal in this variety at the movement. Behaved very well for a youngster.
