BEST IN SHOW
I was presented with six top class exhibits but one stood away for size, type and balance, the red long-haired bitch, Mitchell’s Ch Bronia Pastiche, lovely head and expression, good for size and coat, held her elegant outline on the move, and although I would prefer more drive behind, we were in a sports hall with mats, and she moved soundly with athleticism. Good neck, front and ribbing, good tail carriage, excellent temperament and presentation, a very worthy BIS. RBIS was the brindle wire-haired dog, Rollinsons’ Ch & Ir Ch Nosinllor Grenadier ShCM, very sound, honest dog, well balanced with a good coat, excellent ribbing and underline, moved freely holding his shape. BPIS was the dark brindle miniature wire, Robertsons’ Soletrader Denis The Menace, 9 months, just loved his overall type, he was also in the BIS line up and would have been close up but still needs to mature and gain a little more ring confidence, his virtues meant he had to win here, super coat, body shape, head and expression, moved better than anything, so sound and active holding his topline on the move. RBPIS was a very promising 10 mths shaded red long-haired bitch, Johnson’s Brynalyn Bitter Sweet of Africandawns, another I liked for size and balance, sweet head, promising shape, very sound and held good outline on the move. Best Veteran was the long-haired dog, Negus’ Shardaroba Midnight Sun at Tarramist, in excellent coat and condition and simply out-moved his competition on the day.
