BEST IN SHOW

 I very much enjoyed judging at the Scottish Dachshund Club Ch show where BIS was McFaul’s Standard Long  Ir Ch Dachville Perfect Blend. An ultra feminine bitch who looks good both stacked and on the move. Reserve BIS from veteran was an old favourite of mine Oxleys Standard Long Ir Ch Larkhund Latest Destroyer at Owlery masculine in outlook, he really strode out on the move. Best Puppy in Show was Norton’s Smooth Matzell  Maid of Honour Correct size, feminine in outlook with plenty of substance. I see her sire was BOB today. Res BPIS was Blackburn Bennett’s Min Wire Stargang Kasino Kween very sound youngster keeps a good profile on the move well presented and handled.

AV V (7-0yrs) (10). 1. Oxley's, Ir Ch. Larkhund Latest Destroyer at Owlery Sh CM. Super b/t Longhaired. Made him BIS at N.E Dachsunds in 2004. Lovely head carriage. Level topline. Good coat. Moves as soundly as ever. BV and RBVIS. I must say the standard of Longhaireds which came before me on the day was excellent. 2. McFaul's, Ch/Ir Ch. Glasvey Lilac. Another super Long red bitch. Not quite the coat of winner. Close decision. 3. Shackleton's, Edmay Kalyana Mitra. Mini Long. AV V (10yrs+) (5). 1. Brechin and Herberts', Rosara Ring Master at Bothlyn. Mini Wire. 10 years old and showed beautifully. Super head and neck. Level topline. Moved with verve wel belying his age. 2. Boulcott's, Wingcrest Top Secret at Ingerdorm. Mini Smooth. 11 years old. Unlucky to meet winner. Moved halliy round the ring. DON McNAUGHTON MEROROIAL STAKES P. (16). 1. Hunton's, Frankanwen Suremagic. Longhaired dog. Lovely head and topline. Stood full square. Moved well. 2. Mitchell's, Bronia Classy Chassis. Another lovely red Long Hired bitch. Good front. Moved soundly. Good bone. 3. Keay's, Lindarlea Just in Time for Essendy. Min Long. AV SpBEGIN (5). 1. Dunbar's, Bronia Toucstone. Longhaired. Good head and neck. Nice ront with good coat. Moved well. 2. Emerson's, Pachego the One and Only. Mon Smooth. 6 months old baby but showed like a veteran. 3. Paskin's, Metadale Miad in Manhatten. Longhaired. AV Y (9). 1. Dalgety's, Thundergay Archduke. B/t. Smooth. Very masculine with good bonr. Level topline. Well let down hocks. Moved well. 2. Cook and Rhodes', Bournder Royal Sapphire. B/t. Longhaired. Good head. Lovely front. Level topline and moved soundly. 3. Reed's, Deercroft Devotion. Min Smooth. AV BRACE MINIATURE (5). 1. Kennedy's, Longs. Like two peas on a pod. Moved well. 2. Shackleton's, Longs. AV BRACE STANDARD (2). 1. Dalgety's, B/t Smooths. 2. Mitchell's, Longs. AV VERONICA COLLINS MEMORIAL STAKES O. (12). 1. Cook and Rhodes's, Bournder Emmeral Star. Another super b/t Longhaired. Very like his RBIS winning father. 2. J Time Traveller to Bothyln JW. 3. Ergis's, Siouxline Isaac Sh CM. Min Smooth.
