Wirehaired Dachshund Club 2008
BEST IN SHOW
It gave me great pleasure to judge at this prestigious show. BIS Horsewell and Iwama's Ch Jap Ch Drakesleat JP Trier Winshoten (Imp). This Min Wire immediately took my eye with his strong, positive, free flowing movement. He really drives from behind, covering the ground, superb topline held on the move, super head and expression, has reachy neck into good shoulder layback, body well developed, hind angulation good, quality dog topped with good harsh brindle coat. What a showman he is. RBIS Moore's Ch Aventine Rainman at Romanchi JW. This sound, solid brindle boy is pleasing to go over, general construction good, he is typical in head and eye, plenty of bone and substance, correct in movement both fore and aft. A steady showman. BPIS Seath's Sunsong Gypsy Rose. This chocolate girl has now got it together and is looking the part, her coat now looks good and is a good texture, head and expression good, she has bone and substance and now a good depth in body, well ribbed, holds outline on move. RBPIS Thorn-Andrews' Drakesleat Rolling Stone. Dark brindle Min Wire with great potential. Super head and eye, has reachy neck into shoulder layback, body shape good, superb outline, held on the move, still has some 'filling out' to do, he is strong and steady in movement. BVIS McCalmont's Ch Silvae Pickwick. What a great dog he still is, gave him RCC at Crufts. This brindle boy is excellent in body construction with lovely classy head and expression, he is a good length, well let down behind and still has his proud head carriage, as always his outline standing and on the move is super, he still drives round the ring in great style.
