Lancashire and Dachshund Club 2009
BEST IN SHOW
BIS was Geeson’s Longhaired Ch
Abydachs Oh What A Night. This is the second BIS I have
awarded to this beautiuful dog. He won this award at the
Dachshund Club ch show 3 years ago. So sound and
correct, in immaculate condition. Res BIS was Coxon’s Ch
D’Arisca Golden Delicious. Mini Smooth. CC and BOB under
me last year at this show. Looks as well as ever after
her litter. Moves very freely, keeping a lovely topline.
The line up for BIS had some quality dogs. The puppy
line up was not as strong. The Minis appealed more than
the Standards, who were very immature and raw, which is
to be expected. Hopefully they will improve with age.
BPIS was Boyle’s sh cream Mini Long, Zarcrest Ice
Conqueror. Winning his first CC and BOB at 10 months, he
also has 2 Res CCs. Beautiful head and eye, in
immaculate coat and so sound. I’m sure he will go
further. Res BPIS was Daykin’s Barrantini Scarlett
Ribbon. The most lovely red baby, just 6 and a half
months. So confident and full of fun. Will watch her
career with interest. I must mention also the little
Mini Wire, Barratini Bumble at Ashridge. Close between
her and the Smooth. On the final move away she was
moving a shade close behind, but very nice. The breeder
of the Mini Smooth also bred this one, well done.

ANY VETERAN MINIATURE (3,1) 1 Roberts Denver Babycham 7 year old red m.l.h. bitch which puts some of the young ones to shame. The only thing missing is ch. in front of her name. 2 Shutts Jadag Kadbury Rose Of Donnadoon. 8 year old chocolate dapple which is also a little beauty. She held her outline well standing and on the move. Both these bitches had sparkling clean teeth. ANY VARIETY VETERAN STANDARD (4,2)1 Rollinson's Ch.And Ir.Ch. Nossinlor Grenedier. 7 year old w.h. male which I gave a B.O.B. to in the past.I love his head expression and proper coat.He moved with verve and purpose and he well deserved his best veteran award. 2 Roberts Ch.Swansford Lanador. 10 year old lh. which enjoyed his day out. like many of us he enjoys his food a little too much. I don't blame him. NAN JONES MEMORIAL STAKES (4,3) 1 Skinner's Ritterburg Against All Odds 4 year old w.h. bitch which must be odds on to get her title. She ticks all the breed boxes for me and moves correctly enjoying herself at the end of the day.
