Southern Dachshund Club 2009

BEST IN SHOW

My thanks to the Southern Dachshund Association for the opportunity to judge for them at this show. I enjoyed my day and the hospitality was great. BIS was Turner's, Ch. Rafthouse Herr Flick. Lovely dapple Miniature Long Haired dog. Nicely marked. Good head and eye. Correct ribbing. Well handled and moved true back and forth. A real show dog. RBIS was Norton's, Ch. Matzell Maid of Honour. Another nice exhibit from this breeder. A Standard Smooth Haired with a lovely outline. Correct size and good long ribbing. Moved well but was unlucky to come up against my winner. BPIS was Mitchell's, Bronia Salvador. A Standard Long Haired dog. Typical exhibit from this kennel. He was well up to size for one so young but is beautifully constructed. Lovely head and eye. Correct shoulders and moved as if he meant to win. RBPIS was Norton's, Halunke Gabriella. What a cracking Miniature Long Haired bitch puppy this is. For one so young she stood and moved like a veteran. Lovely outline and good shoulders and ribbing. Nice feet. Must have a bright future.
