Miniature Dachshund 2010
BEST IN SHOW
It was an honour and a privilege to judge BIS at this important show for Miniature Dachshunds.and I was delighted to have such excellent representatives from each variety, any of which were worthy of the top spot. On the day I chose Thomas's mini-long bitch Shenaligh Sweet Surprise, a lovely blk/tan of super construction and in gleaming coat and condition. Good outline at all times, well bodied, excellent bone and front assembly and sound true movement. I loved her. Res.B.I.S. Thorn-Andrews's mini-wire dog Ch.Drakesleat Win A Lot, attractive brindle I've admired from the ringside. All male without coarseness, correct coat and super outline standing and on the move, it was a close decision. Best Puppy went to Muggleton's stunning red mini-smooth bitch Mosiarto Beautiful Belle, so well named and at only 8 and a half months really mature in body and behavior, she didn't put a foot wrong. Excellent construction, true free movement, I could have taken this one home. Res.B.P. was Lockett-Walters's mini-long Ralines Summer Storm, a red bitch and another well made puppy, good bone, pleasing outline at all times and a true free mover. Two puppies to look out for in the future. Best Veteran from three sweet oldies was Callow's blk/tan mini-smooth Garthorne Lady in Black who belies her 7 and a half years. Lovely condition, well constructed, still with a good outline and moving truly and freely. One to be proud of.
