BEST IN SHOW

 I was sorry to here that Mrs. Jean Blanford. Was unable to fulfil her appointment do to ill health, and hope that she is now fully recovered. It was a great pleasure to be asked to stand in for Mrs Blanford. Do to the arctic conditions there were naturally a lot of absentees but my line up for best in show was still full of quality. My best in show went to the standard wire: Carters Romanshi Alkansea. A two year old dog with a splendid shaped head, dark eyes well set ears, good reach of neck set on strong angulated shoulders. Super ribbing and top line and strong quarters all resting on strong well padded feet. Moved out well around the ring. Reserve best in show went to Geeson's Ch. Abeydachs Oh What A Night JW. A 6 year old standard long, who really carried his age well. Pleasing head and expression, enough neck and strong front and shoulders, well sprung ribbing and just the right length of body, a well balanced dog through out. Best puppy Geesons Abydachs Summer Breeze. An outstanding newcomer, to the show ring making her debut today and what a picture she was a real pleasure to go over. A six month old red bitch with a stunning head well arched neck perfect shoulder placement elbows fitting in to a balanced ribcage with well formed quarters and correct tail set. Just a little unsettled on the table as it was her first show, moved out really well. Reserve best puppy: Coxons D'arisca I Do Declare. Another puppy at his first show and so unlucky to have met the winner on the day. Well balanced throughout, a well formed masculine head for a youngster good reach of neck running into well formed shoulders, elbows neatly tucked in and a good length of ribcage, strong quarters that he used when going around the large ring with ease. Best veteran: Lusks Ch. Cedavoch Celebdil. A seven year old b/t standard smooth who could still hold is own up against the younger dogs. In really good shape all through has still all his qualities he had when younger and moved around the ring effortlessly.
