BEST IN SHOW
was delighted to be invited to judge at this
progressive society's Championship Show. Some 25 yrs ago at the
Society's Ruby Anniversary show I had the good fortune to win B.I.S.
with my Miniature Wire-Haired Dachshund Morsefield Bizzy Bee. Today I
had the honour of judging B.I.S. myself. I thank the Society for the
hospitality shown and the breed judges for sending through some quality
exhibits for my evaluation. Best In Show: Darsoms Zangelina. Elegant
shaded red Long bitch of a super type, full of quality and a pleasure
to go over. Beautifully put together with good bone and neat feet.
Loved her head and expression, well filled front, lengthy ribbing with
firm topline and well angulated quarters, moved soundly with a free ,
easy stride, lovely head carriage and super outline. Reserve Best In
Show: Cwmdarhian Back To Alabama At Carpaccio. Eye-catching b/t
Miniature Smooth, whose lovely clean lines give a smart well balanced
outline. Lovely feminine head, well constructed throughout, has a super
outgoing temperament, moved out soundly with both reach and drive, a
lovely showgirl. Best Puppy In Show: Siouxline Levi. Smart red
Miniature Smooth dog, beautifully balanced, super in outline at 7mths
must have a bright future, loved his sound construction, lovely head and
dark eye, well filled front, good ribbing and strong quarters, moved
out smartly with reach and drive, very confident youngster and
excellent showman. Reserve Best Puppy In Show: Africandawns Lilly's
Legacy, lots to like about this 7mth red Long baby, loved her elegant
head and soft feminine expression, well made throughout, good bone and
feet, moved very soundly, still very immature but has lots of
potential. Best Veteran In Show:Ch /Ir/Am Ch Raydachs Tom Cruisen On.
Smart brindle Wire dog looking really well for his 10 yrs, lovely
masculine head, reachy neck, firm well made body, good bone and neat
feet, good texture to coat, moved soundly, an excellent showman and a
credit to his owner. Best Breeders in Show: Ergis's Miniature Smooths,
3 excellent examples from the Siouxline kennel very well matched,
lovely for type and quality, moved out really well together.

On B.V.I.S. 2 Bronia Lucidissima. 8yr b/t min smooth bitch, neatly put
together, with feminine head, good ribbing and quarters, moved out
smartly. 3 Allfreys Ursula, WH bitch.
