Smooth Haired Dachshund Club 2012
Best in Show
Championship show:Thank you to the
committee for the invitation and hospitality, I really enjoyed my day with you.
It was a day for the girls; all principal winners sent through were bitches. BIS:
Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Serenity. Red M/S bitch. Beautiful head with
correct eye, good mouth, excellent forechest, well laid shoulder, ribs carried
well back, correctly angulated hindquarter with good tailset. Correct top and
underline. Enough bone. Balanced and sound, liked her very much. RBIS: Norton's
Ch Matzell Mildred, red smooth bitch. Feminine head, good bone and feet,
excellent forechest, good shoulder and hind end, sound mover, close decision but
preferred ribs on winner. BPIS: Robert's B/T M/S Bronia Caprice to Denver. Head
not as elegant I like but she has a lovely body shape, well covered. Well laid
shoulders, prominent forechest, good ribbing, well angulated hindquarters,
excellent tailset, good bone and feet and very collected on the move. RBPIS:
Burke & Manston's red smooth bitch, Bonavoir Testa Rossa. Very pretty bitch,
very nice fore quarter construction with good ribs and topline, tailset a shade
high and would have preferred more angulation behind, moved out smartly. BVIS:
Mitchell's Dubreys Dora the Explorer, 8 year red bitch, in good form, balanced,
well proportioned, good mouth, moved out soundly.
