My thanks go to the Southern Dachshund Officers and Committee for a very well run and friendly show. I awarded best in show to Mrs J.F. Geeson Standard Long Haired Bitch Puppy Abydachs Vision of The Night. This young red presented a classic outline. Loved her stylish head and eye, correct mouth with enough under jaw. Very sound, beautiful feet with ample bone for her size. Not oversized in any way and well balanced, correct topline with enough angulation in the rear. Her movement was a pleasure on the eye, moved out around the ring at the correct pace so you could really assess this properly. This young bitch never put a foot wrong and really dealt with the task in hand with ease. I shall watch with interest as her career takes shape. Reserve Best In Show Hunts Standard Smooth Ch. Carpaccio Cognac Diamond. I have judged this Chocolate and Tan smooth before, she has matured well. Very sound in front shows good front extension on the move. Well handled. Kept her topline at all times, has a very feminine outlook with great attitude. Best Puppy in Show Geesons Abydachs Vision of the Night. Reserve Best Puppy in Show. Hunts Carpaccio Hershey Kisses. Young choc and tan smooth. This is a repeat mating of the reserve best in show. This youngster coped with the situation well. Nicely put together not over done, has a classic skull shape with good eye. Correct bite, enough bone for her size, held her top line well, moved out smartly around the ring. Best Veteran in Show. Downes & Moore Am. Gr. Ch. Daybreaks Classique Cruiser. Standard Wire with ideal head and eye. Strong jaw, sound front good feet, firm top line. Coat in good order of the correct texture. Loved his attitude, moved out with good rear drive and enjoying the day.
