MIDLAND DACHSHUND CLUB 2017
Judge : Derek Smith (Clickam)
It was an honour ro judge BIS and BPIS at this Club, of which I am President, but a little sad to have to replace Gladys Mead, who could not judge owing to illness, get well soon Gladys. A super show, so well run by Daniel and his team. A lovely line up for the premier award and I awarded bis to Wood's Wildstar Wrobinson. A gorgeous, richly coloured red Mini Long of intense quality. Beautiful head with lovely dark eyes, lovely front and feet. Good to go over, being so well constructed and pigmented. Very correct coat in beautiful condition. Moved beautifully holding his lovely outline at all times. Loved him. For Res BIS I chose Williams and Moe's Cwmdarhian Hot Off the Press. My CC winner and BOB at the Smooth Club a couple of weeks ago. This lovely deep red is the complete package, she has type, quality and soundness, plus super construction and a lovely head and eye. Just not putting all in when it mattered on the day, but still a beauty. BPIS was Hunt's Carpaccio Midnight Lace. Shaded red Mini Smooth, who was so beautiful to go over. Pretty head and eye, good neck and lovely front and feet. So well ribbed, strong topline and hingquarters. Uses herself to full advantage on the move and in peak condition. Res bis was mcNaughton's Cedavoch Rainstorm, another beauty from this old established kennel. Clear red of quality and my Res CC and BP from the Smooth Club recently. Lovely head and eye, excels in construction and is all Dachshund. Shown in gleaming condition and a confident mover.
