My sincere thanks to the Committee for the honour of
judging Best In Show. From an outstanding line up the winner was
Pagett & Carroll's CH. Marvale Up With The Lark, a clear red
outstanding M/Smooth who was difficult to fault starting with his
lovely coat and body condition, masculine head, super eye shape and
ear set. Elegant neck and top line, pro-sternum, shoulders, ribbing
and angulation all exemplary but it is on the move in profile where he
really catches the eye with great forward reach and hind extension
with drive from well turned quarters. I have admired him for a while
and was pleased to confirm my opinion.
RBIS was Blackburn-Bennett's CH. Stargang Catch The
Rainbow M/W, another eyecatching mini with a lovely head and dark eyes
contrasting with her wheaten coat of good texture and condition. Loved
her elegant neck and shoulder angles , good ribbing and quarters well
used on the move keeping a correct topline which some minis do not.
BPIS William's & Moes Cwmdarhian Tom Hardy, red
smooth with textbook conformation fore and aft. Well formed
pro-sternum, wonderful outline standing and moving, excellent reach
and drive, nicely arched neck, impeccable topline, well ribbed, super
turn of stifle, short hocks, great hind drive. Lovely coat and
condition.
RBPIS Gibson's Allfreys Helena, nicely balanced wire
with good quality coat, feminine head of pleasing proportions, elegant
lengthy neck flows into pleasing topline, ribbing and follow through,
bit fidgity in stance but with very pleasing drive on the move from
good quarters.
BVIS Coxon's D'Arisca Damsel In A Dress B/T M/Smooth of
7. Admired her lovely head carriage, nicely arched neck flowing into
correct topline. Good shoulder construction and follow through of
ribbing, neat well turned quarters, lovely coat and condition. This
Show needs a RBVIS award if I may gently suggest this??
