I would like to thank the committee of the Northern Counties
Dachshund Association for inviting me to judge Best In Show,
I very much enjoyed my day. Also thank you to the breed
judges for putting through some lovely examples of the
breed.
Best In Show
Geeson's, Miss E H - CH Abydachs Return of the night
Hansome red male who stood out in his performance, a real showman. Lovely
head, almond shaped eye. Good reach of neck, balance in body
both front and rear, true moving up and down. Looked lovely
in profile, keeping a super outline.
Reserve Best In Show
Mitchell, Miss E CH Bronia Maverick
Cream dog of quality, who moved with a good extension and
drive, using his neat strong quarters, keeping a lovely
balanced outline to take RBIS.
Best Puppy In Show
Binks, Miss A Tannahill Day by Day
What a super puppy, 9 months old. Correct head, proportions,
long nicely arched neck, into well placed shoulder, enough
fore chest, ribbing well back into sound quarters, good bend
of stifle, moved round with ease. One for the future.
Reserve Best Puppy In Show
Hanney - Mitchell's Naisha Crespalia Bronia (Imp ESP)
Another very smart sound red puppy, 10 month of good size
and proportions. Moved round very well, one to watch.
Best Veteran In Show
Phillips, Mrs V CH Royal Pepper's Vica Versa (Imp Fin)
What a stunning, upstanding 7 year old wire who took my eye
both stacked and on the move, a very sound moving male with
excellent bone and feet, in good coat and condition. Pleased
to award him BVIS.
Best Special Beginners
Miniature Smooth haired - Bosworth, Mrs L - Bronia Solange @
Lourom
Very nice red puppy, 9 months old. Lovely shape and moved
really well, she just needs that little extra confidence but
a lovely puppy. Good luck.
