Northern Dachshund Ass 2002
Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired)
Judge : Flo Winchurch
I was looking for a quality, well balanced Hound, not only stacked but one with the ability to move. Unfortunately it was rear movement in some otherwise nice ones that disappointed and my final placings reflected this. All but a couple with good temperaments, bitch competition being stronger than the dogs. My Class and Principle winners were of the highest quality, so delighted to see my BOB finishing Res BIS with the BP taking a Reserve BPIS.

LD (5) 1 Munt’s Kathington Smart Move To Pipersvale. Lovely red, true type with good overall proportions, looked good on the move, keeping nice outline. I liked him when I judged him as a youngster and pleased he did not disappoint today. Res CC; 2 Mendes’ Scharmein Rajah. Smaller, compact B/T. Nicely proportioned overall, good on the move; 3 Holt and Evans’ Toleva Trojan Prince.
OD (5) 1 Coxon’s Ch D’Arisca In Confidence. PB (8) The first three made a trio of classy lassies. 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Luciana. What a little cracker! Quality plus most pleasing overall proportions giving lovely outline both standing and on the move. BP; 2 Metcalfe’s Bronia Saucy Sara At Metadale. Quality red. Loved her head and expression. So nicely put together with free sound movement; 3 Coxon’s Bedu Love Me Do.
