Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired)
OD (4) 1 Castle’s High Flier. Very smart shaded red youngster with lovely bone and feet. Masculine houndy head, good reach of neck, well laid shoulder. Tight elbows, decent ribcage, well angulated, strong rear. Moved smartly keeping his topline at all times. Liked him very much, but hope he doesn’t grow much more! Best Dog and Best Puppy. 2 Bastable’s Nordach Ticket to Ride. Black and tan dog of finer type than the winner. Decent front assembly, adequate ribbing and tidy hindquarters. Moved well with good extension. Res Best Dog. 3 Gault and Johnston’s Ch D’Arisca Cut A Dash.
OB (4) 1 Danter’s Ir Ch Barleyfield Miss Doo-Little. Ultra sound black and tan bitch, real standard in miniature and shown in lovely bloom with super muscle tone. Elegant head proportions, neat front, good layback of shoulder. Excellent length and depth of ribbing. Short, strong loin, hammy well angulated quarters which she really knows how to use. Moved freely with drive. Best of Breed. 2 Bates’ Batendach Festival Rose. Black and tan bitch with a delightful temperament, really cocky! Well made all through with bone and substance. Smart mover. Res Best Bitch. 3 Orr’s Penrhiwgoch Gemini Lady.
