An interesting and quality entry on one of the hottest days of the year. Apart from the first two classes I judged undercover, fortunately the heat did not appear to affect movement and the dogs coped well with a rather uneven ring.

PD. (9). 1. Lockett’s, Ralines Red Dragon. Promising balanced puppy. Lovely head and expression. Super front assembly with excellent keel. Low to ground, level topline, good ribbing and hind angulation. Covered the ground well on the move. In excellent coat, were presented and shown well. 2. Crawley and King’s, Fizzy Flyer for Summerview. Attractive dapple baby in good coat, dark eye giving sweet expression. Good top and underline. Well bent stifles. Low to ground. Not the length of neck of first. Moved well. 3. Croxford’s, Arbroath Mr Macsporran.

JED. (7). 1. Broad’s, Jenwood Ring of Bells. Sound youngster, scored in his excellent movement. Covered the ground well and was true fore and aft. Masculine head, tight elbows against excellent ribbing. Good keel, level topline. Would like him lower to ground, but his movement won him the place. 2. Brown’s, Devoncream Raffles. In excellent coat and condition. Attractive head, dark eye. Reasonable forechest, good ribbing. Well bent stifles, elbows could be tighter. Preferred movement of first. 3. Crawley and King’s, Bilmarjude Rock Fellow.

PGD. (4). 1. Croxford’s, Sandwells Cardinal at Arbroath. Quality red dog of good proportions, fairly well balanced perhaps a little more length of back would be desirable, however, he has a lovely head and expression. Excellent keel, tight fitting elbows and good ribbing. Well bent stifles. Level topline. Moved well. 2. Page’s, Rafthouse Hot Dream avec Thelepees. Masculine head and expression. Good length of neck and back with firm topline. Excellent hind angulation and sound true movement. Preferred keel and tighter elbows of first. 3. Earley’s, Yelva Prince Charming.

LD. (5). 1. Young’s, Willowheath Del Boy. Elegant b/t, gorgeous head and darkest of eyes, correct earset. Super front assembly with tight front, prominent forechest, ribs carried well back. Level topline and good length. Low to ground, well bent stifles. Low hocks. Really balanced all through. Despite the heat moved out very well driving from behind. Excellent coat and well presented. Pleased to award his third CC. 2. Graver’s, Melvalley Midnight Star. Another quality dog unlucky to meet first in such good form. Well balanced outline. Tight elbows, good ribbing. Level topline. Sound hind action. In super coat and condition. Preferred forechest of first. 3. Brace’s, Ralines Sunny Delight with Xemxija.

OD. (7). 1. Angear’s, Ch. Ridgegrove Cuddley Dudley. Quality b/t in super coat and condition. Attractive head and expression. Neat front, good ribbing carried back. Level topline, low to ground. Excellent hind angulation, short hocks, balanced outline. Moved with drive. Well shown. Very close decision between him and the Limit winner. Preferred elegance of CC winner. RCC. 2. Watkins’, Bidornis Pinball Wizard. Attractive cream with nice outline. Low to ground. Lovely head, gentle expression from dark eyes. Sound front and good ribbing. Level, topline, well bent stifles. Good length to back. Moved well. 3. Amos’s, Dactec Dream Wizard.

PB. (10). 1. Angaer’s, Ridgegrove Celebration. Very pretty sh/red baby. Beautiful head and eye. Excellent reach of neck. Well placed shoulders. Good prosternum. Tight elbows, ribbing carried back. Good length, sound quarters. Moved extremely well with excellent drive behind. Super outline stacked, altogether a lovely puppy. RCC. 2. Brace’s, Xemxija Chantilly. Another very pretty puppy. Sweetest expression from darkest of eyes. Good forechest, neat front, good ribbing. Well bent stifles. Level topline. Balanced outline. Moved true fore and aft. 3. Young’s, Willowheath Hot Gem.

JB. (7). 1. Geeson’s, Abydachs Aphrodisiac. Attractive b/t. Balanced with good length. Sweet head, sound forehand. Good reach of neck, ribs carried well back. Well bent stifles. Moved true with drive. Liked her balanced outline and movement over second. 2. Thomas’s, Shenaligh Sea Holly. Pretty young lady. Sweet expression. Excellent front with extremely good ribbing that was smooth and carried well back. Sound hind movement. Not quite the outline and balance of first. 3. Angear’s, Ridgegrove Camilla.

PGB. (8). 1. Brigin’s, Melvalley Maid of the Night. Quality b/t with lovely outline. Low to ground. Attractive head and expression. Excellent forechest, tight elbows. Neat front, level topline. Well bent stifles. Short hocks. Moved with drive. Well presented and shown. 2. Richardson’s, Sirrondach Ebony Tamarind. Elegant b/t not so low to ground as first, otherwise quite a good outline. Good head, sweet expression. Long neck, sound front assembly. Good length and ribbing. Good quarters. Moved well. 3. Earley’s, Yelva Wilhelmina to Warway.

LB. (8). Good class. 1. Mack and Dunn’s, Topgem Louisa May JW. This lovely b/t bitch had everything I was looking for. Great quality. Lovely head and expression. Good length of neck and back. Excellent prosternum. Tight elbows, neat front and feet. Ribbing carried well back. Good shoulder placement. Level topline. Good hind angulation. Short hocks, super balance all through, both stacked on the move. Her movement was sound, free and true. I just loved her quality, elegance, soundness and breed type. Pleased to award her her first CC and BOB. Hope the other two will follow soon. 2. Goddard’s, Minard Krystal Darque. Another lovely bitch. Not quite as low to ground as first. Quite elegant, excellent front assembly, ribbing carried back. Super quarters. Nice outline. Well presented. Moved freely with drive. Unlucky to meet first. 3. Amos’s, Dacatec Pure ‘n’ Simple.

OB. (7). 1. Elworthy’s, Jamiesporing Desert Song. Very attractive well coated bitch. Lovely expressive head. Super forehand, well laid shoulders. Good ribbing. Well bent stifles. Short hocks. Level topline. Well balanced. Good presentation and movement. 2. Wallace’s, Cheslan Reethi Rah; Elegant b/t not quite the head of first. Moved very freely but a shade wide in front. Excellent keel and ribbing. Balanced outline. Level topline. Good hind angulation, short hocks, well shown. 3. Thomas’s, Shenaligh Sweet Symphony.
