MINIATURE SMOOTH HAIRED
VD (3) 1 Hartley’s Ir XCh Lyrosh Don Perinon JW. Well balanced sound little red, good bone & feet, nice dachshund, easy winner here. 2 Mendes’ Hobbithill Widgeon at Scharmein. B/t, not the overall quality of 1 & needs better feet. 3 Rishworth’s Flarepath Red Baron. Taller red, narrow all through & a touch overweight today. SpPD (3) 1 Punter’s Welcumen Cool Dude. Gorgeous p, super deep red colour, beautiful head & super eye, v necky, lovely bone & feet, excellent shoulder & front assembly, well made, lovely to go over, v sound, an exciting prospect. 2 Hartley’s Truthful Titan at Lyrosh. V nice head on this sh/red, overall v immature, needing to fill out everywhere, not the movement of 1. 3 Butler’s Celtichills Diamond. B/t, in gorgeous condition, fine coated & every hair gleaming, well bodied too, narrow in front coming towards & tucks his quarters under himself on the move.
SpJD (8) 1 Coxon’s D’Arisca Inkel Impresario. B/t, v typical of this kennel, shown in lovely body & condition, beautiful masculine head, lovely oval front & v good feet, beautiful to go over, good shoulder & neckline, v good topline, would like a stronger temperament & needs to improve behind. 2 Hully’s Maximites Montgomery. Another high quality b/t, not much to disllike at all, in fact when the class assembled I thought him my 1, just turns a foot out coming toward which spoils the picture. 3 Buxton’s Scalamor Scarlet Pimpernel. V typy red, not quite the head of 2 above being a touch stronger in skull, otherwise close up, he too turned a foot out coming towards.
YD (8) 1 Endersby’s Mowbray Music Man. Liked this red enormously, a good dachshund, lovely head, excellent outline, so pleasing to go over, quite a stunner stacked & as sound as a pound on the move, v elegant, I feel with maturity & average luck could do well. 2 Melbourne’s Melriding Post Hal Meliori. Out of a smaller mould this one, nice head, lovely feet, like a touch more bone though, shown in good condition, v well bodied, just not the neckline or elegance of 1. 3 Hully’s Maximites Montgomery.
PGD 1 Baker’s Jentiki Flame & Fizzz. This red was v pleasing to go over & as his construction suggested was sound moving didn’t like the wrinkle on his head & eye, could be darker. 2 Barber’s Melriding Meruisti. B/t, llike a bit more bone & substance for a male but he has lovely legs & feet, he again was sound on the move but needs a little more neck to enhance his outline. 3 Lashbrook’s Merrygarth Jackson at Milfer. Red, not the movement of above & roaching slightly in topliune, tall in hock & needs better shoulders.
LD (8) Good class. 1 Baldwin’s Lauralee One for the Road to Beckel. Light clear red of quality, loved everything about him, masculine head, lovely eye & expression, super leathers too, excellent front assembly, lovely bone & feet, oval front, well ribbed, so balanced & in immaculate condition, add to this his precision & soundness of movement & you have a star. Today was his CC & BOB. 2 Doran’s Switherland Altarico. Another quality red, this time shaded, not quite the condition of 1 but a v nice dachshund, liked him a lot on the table & v sound on the floor. Could use a touch more deportment, going round liked him a lot. 3 Luke’s Corrieknowe Circassian. Beautiful head & lovely dark eye on this b/t, like the above, lots to like about him on examination, sound but just won’t make the best of himself.
OD (12) 1 Coxon’s Ch D’Arisca Supernatural. This b/t is a lovely dachshund, beautiful to go over & superb stacked, lovely head, lovely neck & oval front. Super bone & feet & in shining coat, such good ribbing too, v stylish on the move, not quite so positive going away & tendency to a slight dip behind the withers cost him the CC. Well deserved the Res CC. 2 Punter’s Welcumen Mr Cool. Nice head & good neck on this red, balance is spoilt a little by extra weight over the shoulders, other than that a pleasing lad, sound going & coming & strides out in profile. 3 Castle’s Ir Ch High Flier. Sh/red whose handler could do a lot more for him, has a touch of quality about him, full eyes just spoil his head & expression.
VB (5) Yeoman’s Irish of Klynerbyner. This choc/t is a credit to her owner, beautiful teeth & condition, v sound & v active on the move. Enjoying her day out. 2 Kershaw’s Hobbithill Woodlark. Nice b/t again in great condition, lovely legs & feet, well boned & super body. 3 Melbourne’s Garthorne Philippa. This b/t was a super showgirl, only small but with lovely substance, beautiful body & coat.
SpPB (7) 1 William’s Shardagang Mead at Tythe. Really fell for this quality shaded red, lovely dachshund in every way, liked her head & eye, balance & movement. So good to go over, everything as it should be on the move she is sound & stylish, put up a polished performance here, not quite so good in the challenge but I thought her a little star. RCC & BP. 2 Mead’s Minimead Mystic Charm. Light red, plenty of substance in a small package, pretty head & eye, the best of ribbing, so well made & so v sound, lovely bone & feet, could be a little more enthusiastic on the move. 3 Shutt’s Hocus Pokus at Donnadoon. V impressed with this choc dapple, immaculate on the table, best forechest in the entry, so v sound coming & going but must be trained to use herself more on the move.
SpJB (5)1 Blackburn-Bennett’s Shardagang Illustrious. Good dachshund, immaculate on the table, pleasing head, lovely front & feet, super topline & outline, sound & v showy, her day will come. 2 Callow’s Garthorne Leonie. Another quality red, so similar in many ways to 1, again immaculate on the table & again ultra sound only a minor detail cost her this class. 3 Jones’ Woolsocks Chocolate Fudge. Another nice one, not quite the super shoulders of 1 & 2 but a sound & v showy girl.
YB 1 Worswick’s Willowheath Trendie Music to Dolyharp. This b/t was outstanding in this class. Immaculate on the stack & so good to go over, lovely head & eye, so well made, excellent ribbing, syuper body & coat, v sound, just needs a touch of pizzazz. 2 Mayger’s Woolsocks Black Satin. Another quality b/t shown in superb condition, v pleasing in most departments, all over the place on the move, handler must learn to do a lot more for her. 3 Palin’s Shemby’s Chocolate Joy for Sanmik. Beautifully made choc/tan, touch masculine in head, apart from that little to fault, so well made, good forechest & a sound one, not in her best coat.
PGB (17) V difficult class, types varied greatly. 1 Carter’s Royal Expression of Boglands. This red is a nice dachshund, pleasing head, neck & outline, good topline, decent mover, could just be firmer over the group, not in best bob & tucker. 2 Blackkburn-Bennett’s Shardagang Equality. This b/t is a lovely dachsund in most respects, not quite the head of 1, lovely to go over & v sound, again not in best condition. 3 Palin’s Merehill Arfa Sixpunce for Sanmik. V pleasing red, decent head, good front, well made, touch shorter hocks would improve.
LB (17) Super class. 1 Ergis’ Bronia Stunning Sophia for Siouxline JW ShCM. Lovely rich clear red, v little to dislike, super bone & feet, pretty head, striking outline, well made front, firm topline, lovely to go over, sound & really came into her own on the move, shown in lovely condition. Nice one. 2 McAlister’s Lochfyne Limelight. Dark shaded red, good b, from a smaller mould than 1 but so lovely, dead sound in every way, full of dachshund character, beautiful to handle, another good one. 3 Doran’s Switherland Kalidescope. Another good dachshund, this sh/red didn’t just have the head of 2 above & a touch bolder in eye, but apart from that little separated them.
OB (14) Excellent class. 1 Munt’s Pipersvale Stella Artois JW. This light clear red could have won the CC on her condition alone, absolutely immaculate. Fine shiny coat, not hair out of sync, so well covered in body, appealing head, v well balanced in outline, oval front, lovely bone & feet, excelled in ribbing, strong, firm topline, lovely temperament & the ultimate showgirl, sound & stylish on the move, made a great brace with the d, a ch today, well done. 2 Callow’s Ch Garthorne Highlight. Lovely high quality red, shown in gleaming coat, pleasing head, lovely neck & topline, ribs well back, good bone, feet & movement, liked everything about her, just a touch of wrinkle which pegged her back. 3 Doran’s Switherland Hobb Nobb. Quality b/t, liked this one a lot too, another good dachshund in miniature.
Good Cit B (1) 1 Reynold’s Ir Ch Glenariff Bramble. I did admire this shaded red in the good open class, v nice type, decent in head & lovely bone & feet, sound moving but just a touch square over the croup.
