A lovely entry. I felt privileged to be able to go over so many quality exhibits. Thank you.
PD (2) 1st – Ergis’ Siouxline Tennyson – 11 month black/tan with an excellent masculine head, good reach of neck and well placed shoulders, very strong quarters which he used so well on the move maintaining his top line at all times BPD 2nd – Long’s Tydurcwrt First of the Gang – 8 month black/tan, another youngster with a super head and eye, good width in front but carries his shoulders a touch forward and is a little unsteady in rear movement
PGD (4-1) 1st – Shelton’s Barisse Gentlemans Relish – just out of puppy this young man was well balanced overall, nice spring and length of rib, strong quarters with a good turn of stifle producing a sound driving movement, needs to tighten a little in front 2nd – Orton’s Scalamor Solomons Seal – again just out of puppy this black/tan has a smaller frame but is well balanced and has a lovely outline, not quite as strong in hind movement as 1 3rd – Punter’s Welcumen Cool Dude
OD (5-1) 1st – Callow’s Garthorne Man in Black – most handsome chap, smooth lines throughout, good reach of neck into correctly placed shoulders, nice width and depth without exaggeration, good ribbing and well muscled quarters, moved strong and true BD 2nd – Jones’ Radclyffe Milvus – very similar in shape and size to 1 and has much the same qualities, super masculine head and movement strong and positive, very close decision, 1 had a touch more length of rib RBD 3rd – Herrington’s Kathington Chance N Counter
PB (5) 1st – Mead’s Minimead Maid Specially – have long admired the quality dachshunds produced by this kennel and here is another – black/tan with feminine head and correct eye and dentition, super shoulders and ribbing, beautifully balanced outline, movement strong and true BP 2nd – Hartley’s Lyrosh Ebony Lady – bigger framed than 1 but well constructed overall, lovely front assembly, good depth and length to keel, strong quarters with well let down hocks, moved with drive maintaining her topline 3rd – Callow’s Garthorne Fenella
PG (11-2) – a super class 1st – Forster’s Maximites Lovely Lisa at Geffle – a small compact bitch whose strong positive movement won her this class, overall well balanced with lovely clean lines, Strong quarters with a good turn of stifle which she used to drive when moving showing a clean set of pads 2nd – Orton’s Scalamor Whoops a Daisy – lovely outline, nice front and good spring of rib, strong quarters and true movement , topline maintained at all times 3rd Shutt’s Shemby Hocus Pocus of Donnadoon
OB (8-1) – another quality class 1st – Coxon, Jeavons and McMillon’s Can. Ch .Grandgables Tickle my Fancy – brindle – whilst I would prefer a better head this should not detract in any way from the overall construction of this lovely bitch, she has a good reach of neck which flows into shoulders correctly placed, ample front and her keel has the correct depth and is carried well back producing a super underline, ribbing has good spring and is excellent in length, her quarters are strong with a good turn of stifle, when viewed from the rear she is well muscled, her hocks are well let down and she stands parallel, her movement is steady but positive, when coming towards her front legs fit snugly around her beautiful oval front and she has good extension, from the rear she is true showing a clean set of pads without any rolling gait or toeing in BOB 2nd – Hunt’s Ch.Carpaccio Shopaholic JW – super bitch and so well balanced.Preferred her head and eye to that of 1. Front construction textbook, super ribbing and strong quarters. Excellent condition and handled so well. Preferred the rear view and movement of 1 but an extremely close decision 3rd Callow’s Ch.Garthorne Highlight
