Miniature Smooth Haired

Thank you for the opportunity to judge your hounds, I was pleased to find no dirty teeth but I was surprised to find a few narrow bottom jaws making the lower canines grow in to the roof of the mouth, an unacceptable fault in my opinion, there are still tome most untypical heads with broad skulls and short narrow muzzles, I found too many splayed feet and poor muscle tone. As I like to base my final placings when moving the d it was apparent that some need more exercise than they get, there were some that would benefit from a few ounces off but I was disappointed to find a handful of animals that needed taking home and feeding. I was v pleased with my principal winners. MPD 1 Coxons’ D’arisca Way Down Low, balanced 6mth red, glorious head and eye, good mouth, excellent fore quarter and hindquarter construction, tight elbows, well ribbed deep body, excellent tail carriage, good top line, moved v soundly, happy p, certainly a star of the future, CC, BOB and BP, pleased to see him RBPIS; 2 Ergis’ Siouxline Russell, red v similar in type to 1, good head and eye, nice front and rear construction, preferred ribbing on 1 and front action could be better; 3 Hunts’ Carpaccio Storm Warning. PD 1 Punters’ Welcumen Cool Dude, 11mth deep red, beautiful head and eye, lovely fore quarters, good top line and ribbing, well angulated hindquarters, sound mover, close decision for the CC, just preferred the overall balance of the mpd, RCC; 2 Newburys’ Morris Man Of Dalegarth, b/t from mp, not as good in head as 1, would prefer more fore chest, good top and underline, good tail set; 3 McNaughtons’ Bronia L’artista. JD 1 Coxons’ D’arisca Inkel Impresario, b/t excellent fore chest with good hindquarters, well ribbed with v good top and underline, head could be better and hind action could be more positive, lovely front action; 2 Hullys’ Maximites Montgomery, b/t made is difficult to assess as he would insist on leaning back, head ok, nice fore quarters, hindquarters and top line, moved ok; 3 Hartleys’ Truthful Titan At Lyrosh. YD 1 Melbournes’ Melriding Post Hac Melidra, did not care for the head on this b/t but he had nice fore quarters with good ribbing and top line and well angulated hindquarters with a good tail set, moved well; 2 Paytons’ Marajo Moccasin, happy well balanced b/t with good fore and hindquarters, good top line, prefer more ribbing and head could be better; 3 M Montgomery. PGD 1 Mendes’ Scharmein Khan, nicely shaped b/t, well balanced, nice ribbing, good coming and going; 2 Barbers’ Melriding Meruisti, head could be better, ribbing and top line good, needs to drop in front, doesn’t fill the crook when moving; 3 T Titan At L. LD This was a difficult class. 1 Lukes’ Corrieknowe Circassian, b/t although this well balanced b/t was sound throughout he was not helped by his handler, needs more sparkle; 2 Melbournes’ Inkel I’m Rupert At Melriding, well covered red, much smaller type, rather stuffy through the front, nice top line and hindquarters, tail set a touch high, moved ok; 3 Dorans’ Switherland Altarico. OD 1 Jeavons/McMillan/Coxons’ Ch D’arisca Supernatural, beautifully balanced b/t, nice head and eye, touch of wrinkle on forelegs and feet could be better, lovely top and underline with excellent hindquarters, another who could have done with a touch more sparkl2; 2 Meads’ D’arisca Dennison, well balanced b/t v similar in type to 1, lovely fore and hindquarters, good top and underline, moved soundly, well covered; 3 Punter’ Ch Welcumen Mr Cool. MPB 1 Blacks’ Bindrock Bluebell At Bassodon, beautifully balanced shaded red, v good coming and going, well angulated fore and hindquarters, level, kept a lovely outline when moving, BPB; 2 Blackburn/Bennetts’ Shardagang Humming Bird, red smaller type, well boned, lovely feet, excellent hindquarters, good top and underline, moved out well; 3 Meads’ Minimead Miss Peggy Sue. PB 1 Mitchells’ Bronia Lucidissima, b/t didn’t care for her head but a beautiful body, lovely feet, excellent quarters, good deep body, well ribbed, tight elbows, moved soundly but lacked sparkle, didn’t want to move at the end which lost her BPB to the mp; 2 Peels’ Lilow Lil, lovely head with good fore chest, touch of wrinkle and could benefit from more ribbing, good top and underline, moved out well behind touch narrow in front; 3 Melbournes’ Melriding Confederate Bobi. JB 1 Melbournes’ Melriding Slack Alice, 9mth shaded red, well covered but a lovely shape, v nice fore quarter construction, good hindquarters, nice top line, moved ok; 2 Worswicks’ Willowheath Trendie Music To Dolyharp, b/t different type to 1, would prefer more bone, head ok, adequate fore quarter construction, could do with more behind; 3 Meads’ Minimead Mystic Charm. YB 1 Callows’ Garthorne Leonie, balanced red with nice head, deep bodied and well ribbed, nice feet, good fore and hindquarters, good tail set, moved well in front, touch narrow behind. PGB 1 Herringtons’ Kathington Chantelle, petite b/t, would prefer more fore chest, nice bone and feet, hindquarters ok, well ribbed, good top line, moved soundly and preferred and she presented a more balanced outline when moving over 2; 2 Sheltons’ Sarade Lady Tara, b/t different type to 1, preferred her head and fore chest, lost to 1 on ribbing and was rising slightly when moving; 3 Walkers’ Nordach Starlight Express. LB 1 Plants’ Merehill Whirlybird, beautifully balanced b/t, fem head, good fore quarter and hindquarter, well ribbed, lovely top line, feet ok, moved out soundly; 2 Dorans’ Switherland Kalidescope, shaded red, lovely head, beautiful front and rear quarters, level although could benefit from a shade more ribbing, thought this girl was my winner but when she moved would keep hoping at the rear; 3 Callows’ Garthorne Lady In Black. OB 1 Hunts’ Ch Carpaccio Shopaholic JW, well balanced b/t, good fore chest, well laid shoulder and corresponding upper arm, well angulated hindquarters, deep bodied, well ribbed, level, moves on oiled wheels, ok her head could be better, liked her as a p and she has matured into a fine hound, CC; 2 Blackburn/Bennetts’ Shardagang Pavlova, RCC, red unlucky to meet 1, gorgeous head and eye, well laid shoulder, prominent fore chest, super hind end, moved soundly and level, I just preferred the ribbing on 1, pity there wasn’t 2 CC’s, owner tells me she has 2, her 3rd can’t be far away; 3 Callows’ Ch Garthorne Highlight.
