MINIATURE SMOOTH HAIRED
May I thank the exhibitors for accepting me as their "stand-in" judge and I do hope Mr Quinney is feeling better, he missed out on a lovely entry. MPD (3 entries, 0 absent) 1 Dolyharp Madrigal at Belazieth. B/t dog. Beautiful head and eye, good length of neck, well placed shoulder though I would have preferred more upper arm, good length of rib and fair quarters. Sound on the move. 2 Bilbo Boss For Welcumen. Again a lovely head and eye, not as good in shoulder construction as my winner and could have done with shorter hocks. Sound enough going round. 3 Hi-Ho Silver at Donnadoon. PD (6,2a) 1 Deercroft Discoverer with Carpaccio. Nice head, ears a little short, good neck, would have preferred a better layback of shoulder. Good forechest and excellent ribbing, nicely balanced quarters with short hocks. 2 Magrigal at B. 3 Shardagang San Sebastian. JD (4,1a) 1 D’Arisca Elnside Elitist. Red Dog. Would prefer a longer head, good neck and shoulder, good pro-sternum, excellent ribbing, well-angulated shoulders. Moved well. 2 Melriding Jerome. Lovely head and eye, very balanced in front and rear construction but could do with a little more angulation at both ends. Kept a nice outline on the move. 3 Belazieth Red Robin. PGD (3,1a) 1 Jondac Justin. Again a very good head and eye, deep fore-chest, good shoulders, excellent ribbing, would prefer a little better angulation in the rear. Very true on the move. 2 Corrieknowe Christopher. B/t dog. Nice head, rather full in eye, good bone, excellent ribbing, would have preferred more angulation and consequently I felt he didn’t cover as much ground as my winner on the move. LD (5,1a) 1 Morris Man of Dalegarth. Fair head, good neck and shoulder placement, good fore-chest, good ribbing, fair quarters, covers the ground well in profile. Real Showman. 2 Siouxline Thomas JW ShCM. Different type altogether from my winner. Good head, neck and shoulder placement, good ribbing, straighter hind angulation than my winner, did not keep his outline on the move today. 3 Scalamor Solomans Seal. OD (7,3a) 1 D’Arisca Inkel Impresario. Beautiful head and eye, long neck running into well laid-back and angulated shoulders, excellent fore chest, good ribbing, well-angulated quarters. Sound free mover keeping an excellent outline. CC & BOB. 2 Melriding Post Hac Meliora. Nice type of dog with a good neck, would prefer a bit more upper arm, long ribs, good bone and feet, excellent quarters which he used to good effect on the move. Res CC. 3rd Ch Garthorne Greer. VD/B (4,1a) 1 Ch Garthorne Leading Lady. Well known bitch in very good condition. Good head, good shoulders, excellent bone, good fore chest and ribbing, fair quarters. Very good on the move. Res BCC, pushed my CC winner hard. 2 Lyrosh Contessa Lucia. Very nice red bitch in very good condition. Pleasing head and eye, nicely constructed with good bone and ribbing. Enjoying a day out. MPB (7 entries) 1 Dolyharp Minuet. Pretty head, good neck and shoulders, needs to deepen through the front, good ribbing, firm quarters, a little long in the hock. Extremely sound on the move with good extension fore and aft. 2 Berrycourt Roxy. Clear red baby. Beautiful head, good shoulder, excellent ribbing, strong quarters. Has plenty of time to tighten in front on the move. Keeps a lovely outline, with very good extension front and rear. 3 Barratini Thomasina by Siouxline. PB (8,1a) 1 Simply Red of Rivergate. Clear Red. Nice head and eye, neck and lay of shoulder, would like longer upper arm, good ribbing and quarters. Keeps a lovely outline on the move, absolutely true coming and going. Was my BPIB. 2 D’Arisca Golden Delicious. Shaded Red who was very close on the heels of my winner. Lovely head, deep fore-chest, excellent construction all through. On the move she didn’t quite keep her outline as well as my winner. 3 Penrhiwgoch Ebony Lass. JB (18 ,6a) 1 Deercroft Devotion. Loved this little bitch! Shaded red who reminded me of my "Lucia", her half-sister when I looked at my catalogue! Lovely head, small dark eye, good neck, good shoulder construction, prominent fore-chest, long ribbing, balanced quarters. Moved soundly keeping her outline, just a little proud of her tail at times! In the challenge for BPB she seemed to slightly favour one front leg so paid the price today. 2 Merehill Kinky Boots at Bardachs. Nicely constructed bitch of slightly taller type. Nothing much I would change just a little unsettled today. 3 Berrycourt Lantana. PGB (12,3a) 1 Bensarka After Midnight. Easy winner in this class. Long, low and level, balanced angulation both ends, very sound on the move with good extension fore and aft, keeps her outline at all times. 2nd Barratini Moonbeam over Brocklewood. Red bitch, also very nice construction, though not quite as strong in the quarters as the winner. Was a little unco-operative standing which put her at a disadvantage. 3 Curtisey Classic Design for Bannonbrig. LB (16,4a) This was a lovely class with some very nice bitches who could change places very easily another day. 1 Barratini Magic Moment. Red bitch of really good quality. Excellent head, long neck, running into correct shoulders, long ribbing, excellent quarters, keeps a beautiful outline on the move. Would have had a really good chance of the top awards had she co-operated on the stack in the challenge. Unfortunately she threw her chance away. 2 Garthorne Lady In Black. Lower in type than my winner and just as well constructed. Has matured into a really nice specimen, could just be a little more positive in her attitude on the move. 3 Willowheath Trendie Music to Dolyharp. OB (9,1a) 1 Ch/Ir Ch Carpaccio Shopaholic. Worthy champion of good overall construction. Good head, eye a little full, good shoulders, prominent forechest, good bone and feet, excellent ribbing, balanced quarters. Very sound. Keeps a good outline standing and moving. CC. 2 Melriding Slack Alice. Shaded red bitch of lovely construction, nice head, neck and shoulder, good length of ribbing, balanced quarters. Very sound. Also very unco-operative at times! 3 Shardagang Equality.
